also absolutely love it when i wake up to people screaming outside and i hear it well due to the fact that my parents decided that closing the windows was a bad idea and now im not well rested which is partially my fault for staying up late but i am still moody about it

♫ - Kiss on the lips
Centuries of fighting had taught him to be cautious when approaching anyone, whether it was enemies or supposed allies. Centuries of being a Specter had taught him that no one was worth his trust, with a single exception. Centuries of living close to the Wyvern had taught him that he was a fair leader, but that his anger should be feared more than anything and Valentine had no desire to see his Lord angry. That was why he had silently planned out everything, every single possibility and outcome, every happening that could’ve ruined his not-so-complicated plan and yet he was still nervous.Waiting in the shadows made him feel like a predator that waited for his prey to come, but thinking more hard about it, the Harpy came to the conclusion that he was more like a desperate wolf that was afraid of his alpha and yet still wanted attention. A sigh escaped his lips as an uncomfortable feeling of cowardice washed over him, making the Specter feel like a weakling: all this worry, for something the humans considered so…Normal? Nothing about that was normal in the Underworld and that was why it was risky. Risky, but Valentine needed it.
He felt his shoulders tensing when the ever so familiar creaking of the door made his head shoot up as he leaned slightly forward, just to see Rhadamantys stepping inside the corridor: a second check-up of the corridor told him that, like he had expected, no one was around at that time. Mustering up his courage (why was it easier to slay enemies rather than doing this?), the Harpy all but jumped forward, landing straight in front of the Wyvern which simply flinched at his underling sudden and uncommonly noisy apparition. “In Hades’ name, what are you-?” Valentine couldn’t bear to wait, as he knew that the more he lingered about, the more his courage would dwindle. Without listening to his Lord’s complaints about the out of the normal jump, the Specter forced himself up, cursing his height, to press his lips against the Judge’s, mentally bracing himself for anything to come, because whatever the consequences would be, the Harpy could leave happily, knowing he had managed to do something he had waited centuries to do.
❦- Kiss in the snow
No one could survive in the Cocytus. The ever lasting freezing wind could blow anyone away and, usually, if you were condemned to spent your eternity there, you were carefully buried in the ground and snow up to your neck, so that your head would still be out of the earth. A single Specter walked about the land, the only one that was allowed to stay there and one of the few that could resist to the ridiculously low temperatures that characterized that hellish place. The fact that no one but him was there simply mean that solitude was something he had gotten used to, but soon enough the Harpy found out that the lack of prying eyes was also a perk he could happily use. Rhadamantys was of the same advice.
It had become an habit of the Judge to oddly linger longer around the Cocytus, when his visit usually lasted a few minutes at its best, now they lasted around a quarter or half an hour- Who’d dare question him about that, anyway? Certainly not Valentine. And not only because his mouth would be otherwise occupied by the judge’s own lips.
