No Minors Allowed.   We, Phantoms Of Riddim, are so excited to celebrate our 3rd anniversary night with special guests Ishan Sound and Rider Shafique from Young Echo collective who are have been making heavy waves in the UK's heavyweight Dub and instrumental Grime scene with their amazing releases and soundsystem anthems. Don't miss this heavy night.   Cris Ebdon was best known in the early days of Young Echo as one half of Zhou. Together the pair released a number of standout 12”s on Punch Drunk, an EP on A Future Without and a collaborative cassette with Vessel on Astro:Dynamics, all of which fused the influence of classic dub with more ethereal textures, creating dark, complex Dubstep/Grime-influenced music that felt like the logical continuation of the Skull Disco legacy.   Despite the pair being a core part of Young Echo’s early identity, recent years have seen Ebdon begun to develop his solo project, Ishan Sound. Taking more direct inspiration from Bristol’s rich soundsystem culture, and combining unsettling mystical melodies with strong bass pressure, Ebdon has been cutting his own solo dubplates since 2011, with the project’s official debut appearing on the label arm of Stokes Croft party Peng Sound early in 2013. Teaming up with local soundsystem veteran Ras Addis, “Clash Of The Titans” proved a deadly steppers track, joined later that year by a similarly authentic 7”-shaped slice of dub on ZamZam Sounds. However, the project’s breakthrough to wider recognition came when Ebdon released the brilliant Namkha 12″ on Pinch’s Tectonic label. Further, he has continuously released even more amazing 12"s with his longtime partner, MC Rider Shafique, featuring Miss Red, Kahn and Dubkasm on Peng Sound, Hotline Recordings and Zamzam Sounds.   The vibrant voice of rhyme architect Rider Shafique was one half of the hotly-tipped reggae inspired outfit Black Canvas. While the duo's debut album ‘Rise’ is blowing up the underground radar, He has continued collaborations with Al Haca and DJ Compakt as well as releasing his solo debut 12".   After being featured on Sam Binga, I.D. and Kahn's works, Rider has recorded with all each members of Young Echo with this as a momentum. He joined Young Echo shortly and became one of the most important MCs in the UK's underground scene. In November 2016, he finally long-waited EP 'I-Dentity' at Young Echo Records.   Ishan’s soundsystem conscious style involving selecting choice of cuts of heavyweight steppers exclusives with Rider's charismatic MCing will bring a rough and wild experience on the dancefloor. Phantoms of Riddim, one of the Korea's top ranking party collectives, conjure Grime beats and Dancehall riddims with beautiful bleak electoronic compositions based on soundsystem music, while an equal amount of Hiphop, Footwork and bass-heavy club bangers. Dance and be destroyed.
