The keyword is "hardcore". In Viscero's case, the T-word was an acceptable term for trans people where he lived. I told him otherwise, he listened, and then some idiot dug up an old post of his and launched a collect over it. He then started using the word again just to spite said idiot and their friends. I can tell you're going to say something like "he was already beyond hope if he thought oppression was a valid weapon against them", but he had no way of knowing that it was oppression at all..
It's not... using oppression as a weapon against them. Oppression is society vs a minority. It's just being transphobic and generally wrong.
If you supposedly told him otherwise, he knew that the t-slur wasn't acceptable. Especially if he had ceased use of it until people discovered him.
When people dug up his old post, he could've just said "I know I used it in the past, I don't anymore. It was wrong and I understand that now. Please stop messaging me about it," but instead, he started using it to further piss off the people who were already angered. If he really wanted them to stop, he'd block people commenting on his post. He'd shut his ask off, or at least anon.
SJWs didn't wreck him, he was already well-wrecked and handled the situation poorly. It's gotta be someones fault, and even though blaming it on a vague mass of people is easy, it comes down to how he handled the situation, and how much he actually gives a shit about how people feel.
Like, I used to know someone who would use n*gga even though they were white, and after a lot of people telling them that wasn't okay and even a somewhat-uproar starting, they finally stopped using it and never once used it in spite.
By the way, they were 12 at that time.
This guy clearly just reacted really bad, like, if a bunch of so called SJWs were telling him he shouldn't do that and that it's transphobic, wouldn't that tell him, hey, wow, I shouldn't use that slur, instead of, hey, wow, stop bitching at me you trannies.
