He~llo there! o3o For the ask meme, please answer 9, 11, 12, 17, 18, 24, 25, 32 and 35! I love your art, please never stop drawing ;3;)/ <3
Aaaahhhh thank you!!! ;3;)/ ♥I feel like as long as there is Avarus in my head I can’t stop. 9. How much time do you spend drawing on an average day?24/7! ∠( ᐛ 」∠)_Ok I’d love to draw 24/7 but the truth is a little different. I’d say about 3 to 5h.
11. How many art-related blogs do you follow?I feel like it would be better to ask me how many non-art-related blogs I do follow. :’3On tumblr: Looking at the ones that are still active: about 20, maybe?Genereally spoken, it must be about +500 blogs (deviantart, twitter, instagram, tumblr) but I often feel like there are only about 100 blogs that are really active.
12. Is it okay for people to ask you about your process?Sure!
17. Do you think you’re justified in giving other people art advice?I never felt like someone that is justified for this but I still try to give some art advice if people like to get some. I have a few friends that have asked me a few times about tips and tricks but also for feedback about their pictures. When I know that person doesn’t mind getting feedback I like to point out what’s good, what could be done differently, what could be improved and also some stuff I’d experiment.
18. What are you currently trying to improve on?Perspectives and backgrounds.
24. Do you feel jealous when you see other people’s art, or inspired? (Be honest!)I kind of answered this question here, in No. 10.There was a time I felt terrible jealous about other people’s art (long answer see No.10) But that changed about 3 years ago. Nowadays I rather feel pushed to try something new. It’s more like “Omg their art is so amazing, I want to do that too!!!!!” and then I usually start sketching.Especially when watching streams from artists. It’s incredible how easily some artists draw different kind of poses and perspectives in a couple of seconds minutes. It makes me want to practice more that I’ll be able to do so as well one day.
25. Do you like to draw in silence, or with music?I don’t mind drawing in silence but I prefer music. I actually listen to music 24/7 if possible. ♥
32. What defines your artistic style?euh… If someone would have asked me this a few years ago I’d say my chibi style. But I don’t think that would define my style now. I feel like my style is mainly defined by the way I draw eyes but also hair (especially the colouring). I’d also say that the way I use lighting could be recognisable for it.And I was told that my style looks semi-realistic and I guess they are right. While I draw mainly in an anime-manga-like style I try to remain a little realistic while colouring. I also try to be as accurate as possible when it comes to anatomy.
Or maybe it’s just Avarus. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
35. List at least one of your “artspirations.”I was thinking about this question the whole day and I’m not even sure if my answer will answer the question correctly, but here we go:It’s Chris Harms.A German musician, composer, music producer, audio technician and singer/guitarist of the band Lord of the Lost.Obviously he’s not an artist that draws or paints. Tbh he actually did a few times for some merchandise or even as personal touch for their booklets and cover arts. But his passion to his music is remarkable. The things he did to get to the point where he’s standing now, the love and emotions he puts into every song, the meaning behind the lyrics. The way he actively supports small bands that try to start their music career. I could add some more reason but they might be off-topic..He’s someone that I truly admire. And whenever I see him or listen to the songs from Lord of the Lost I feel inspired. I’m very happy that I could meet him for a few times already. ♥
