today was the day. he would become eugene fitzherbert, CAPTAIN OF THE GUARD. the idea was both thrilling and terrifying, but he was glad that she was there by his side. he hates to think it but the fancy clothes were a little weighted and he would much prefer his normal attire.

he couldn't help but melt when seeing her pop her head from around his door and make her way into the room, looking beautiful as ever. his cheeks flush lightly as she makes her way to him and his hand moves to lightly cup her cheek. ❝ ya know, I didn't know how i'd feel about the red but I think it looks good on me. ❞ he can't help but joke on his big day to try and keep his nerves down.

brown eyes follow her movements as she runs her fingers through his hair gently to smooth it back. a small smile gracing his lips before he places a small kiss against her forehead. ❝ thank you for being here with me. ❞
