Love Mist Event with @aglitchandagrump‘s Sans and Serif. Featuring @euphemia-the-npc for a bit.

In which two nerds finally get together.

( Little info on the Event. Pink mist is floating around the island and it makes people fall in love with the first person they see. Serif effected and Sans is not. )

(Outdoor Bar)

Charm - [aglitchandagrump]-Last Friday at 10:17 PM

Sans was walking alongside @Serif [SecondQuill] to the bar, keeping his love struck eyes on her the entire time. Bad idea. He ended up running directly into the bar, the impact taking him by surprise enough to cause him to fall over.

Serif [SecondQuill]-Last Friday at 10:24 PM

Serif was hugging her book and kept looking over at Sans with her own love struck smile. She stopped just in time not to hit the bar. Apparently Sans didn't. She burst into laughter nearly dropping her book in the process. "oh my gosh! are you okay?" She offered him a hand, grinning from 'ear' to 'ear.' "if you keep falling like that you might seriously hurt yourself! leave the falling to the professionals."

He blushed a bit in embarassment, gratefully taking her hand and standing up. At her words he couldn't help but respond with probably the best possible flirty pun in this situation. "W-Well, I mean, I've already fallen for you and I haven't gotten hurt." It was just too good to pass up.

Serif [SecondQuill]-Last Friday at 10:39 PM

Serif dropped her book. It landed on her foot and she didn't even notice. Her whole face turned bright blue and she made a high pitched squeak. Maybe she should be more careful about falling, because she'd already fallen so hard for him. "B-BUT WHAT I-IF Y-YOU DO? I-I DON'T W-WANT YOU T-TO GET H-HURT! Y-YOU'RE JUST S-SO WONDERFUL A-AND I-I GUESS- OH G-GOSH I-I'M RAMBLING A-AREN'T I?" She remembered him calling her rambling cute. Shoot. She was just so flustered that she did the first thing that came to mind...Which oddly enough was to bark like a dog and then cover her face.

He didn't know how to comprehend everything that just happened, but the and product was both adorable and hilarious. He let out some cute laughs, no mockery or teasing in them, just pure laughter. "You're so cute!" he didn't even realize that slipped.

Serif [SecondQuill]-Last Friday at 10:52 PM

Serif tugged her bandanna over her face, walked blindly to a stool, tripped on it and kicked off the ground in just the right way in an attempt to catch herself to end up flopped half on the stool and half on the counter. She was now clinging to the edge of the counter and trying not to slide off the stool. How graceful.

This only made Sans' laughter grow as he stumbled over to try and help her out. He carefully took her arm, trying to get her down gently and to sit normally on the stool.

"I apparently can't say anything nice to you, can I? You flip of I do. I'm actually surprised you haven't some an actual flip yet."

Instead of sitting properly she just clung to him as she continued to slid off. "Y-YOU W-WANT M-ME TO DO A-A FLIP? B-BECAUSE I C-CAN!"

Oh god this isn't what what he was expecting- "N-no! That's not necessary!" he was trying to either pull her up or get his arm away. He ended up using his other arm to try and support her elsewhere, reaching under the side that was slipping off and trying to push her up.

Serif [SecondQuill]-Last Friday at 11:23 PM

"A-ARE YOU S-SURE? B-BECAUSE I-I C-CAN DO IT E-EASILY! I-I'M V-VERY AGILE! T-TOP OF MY C-CLASS IN GUARD T-TRAINING! i’m t-the only one in training at the m-moment BUT STILL I-I COULD-" She tried to boost herself up with her foot but just ended up slipping and falling completely off, unluckily dragging Sans with her.

He let out a small yelp, being dragged on top of Serif. His blush free once again as anyone passing by would think Sans was pinning Serif against the ground. Or maybe something worse, giving the current suggestive position. "Whoa! Are you okay?"

Serif [SecondQuill]-Last Saturday at 8:50 PM

Serif was frozen for a moment as she realized what had happened. She reached up and pulled her bandanna low enough that she could see. Her face bright blue. Oh gosh from this angle he looked really hot. "y-yep! i-i'm fine!" Okay she might have hit her head pretty hard but she was already seeing stars looking at him. "a-are you okay?"

He smiled a bit when she said she was okay. His hood had been flopped over his skull when they fell, sheltering them from the sun. "Yeah! I was just worried you had hit your head or something."

Serif [SecondQuill]-Last Saturday at 9:06 PM

Her eyelights shifted to hearts. Gosh he was so sweet worrying about her like that. "don't worry a-about me! i've got a hard head!" Gosh she just wanted to kiss him again. Aw why the heck not? She carefully cupped his face and brought it down to meet hers half way. She held it for a long moment before letting go and backing away. "l-looks like it was my turn to fall for you."

Euphemia - [cartoonimal]-Last Saturday at 9:10 PM

Euphie enters the area, wondering what was going on with the island tonight. She gets herself a mint tea from the bar and turns to find a seat, only to be caught completely off guard by the couple on the floor. She almost spits out her tea in surprise

Charm - [aglitchandagrump]-Last Saturday at 9:11 PM

He giggled a bit at the joke, it getting cut off by the kiss. His face turned bright blue again and he didn't imagine himself leaning into it at all but lookie here~ His eyes had ended up half closed and he had the same goofy grin as last time when she pulled away. "M-More like have me fall on you.." he surprisingly managed out. Man, this was the best dream ever.

She manages to choke down her mouthful of tea, trying to pass it off as a graceful sip. After a moment of consideration, she clears her throat. "Umm... hey there, guys. What's.. up?"

Serif [SecondQuill]-Last Saturday at 9:15 PM

Serif was too busy staring up lovingly at Sans to notice Euphie. Until she talked. Her face turned even bluer and she tried to hide under Sans more than she already was.

Charm - [aglitchandagrump]-Last Saturday at 9:20 PM

His blush got worse as he sunk into his own jacket while also looking up at Euphie. He still didn't think their position could be taken as suggestive so he remained where he was while sheepishly gazing from Euphie to Serif. "H-H-Hi, Eu-Euphie."

"So, um. Did I, uh miss something, or... is this, like a thing?" she doesn't even know what to ask at this point.

Sans really desperately wanted to hide his face but that would result in falling on Serif and that didn't seem like a good idea. "I-I- Uh- I didn't- No- uhm.." Fuck. Okay he didn't know how to respond.

Serif [SecondQuill]-Last Saturday at 9:28 PM

Serif sunk into her bandanna. This was the female version of Euphie? Gosh she was beautiful! Times would be lucky to end up with her. Aaaaand of course she embarrassed herself infront of an alternate of her crush- er, past crush? No still crush. Although she really saw herself ending up more with Sans now... She waved shyly. "h-heya!" Her voice was a little higher than Swap's although it could be mistaken for his just higher from embarrassment.

"I didn't mean to, uh, interrupt.." awkwardly, she takes another sip of her tea. Something about Swap's voice caught her attention, though.. it seemed off...

Sans was turtle form not, his hood covering the head hole of his jacket as he was fully submerged under. There was a small whine escaping from him underneath the fabric.

Serif [SecondQuill]-Last Saturday at 9:36 PM

"Y-YOU W-WEREN'T INTERRUPTING A-ANYTHING! I-I TRIPPED AND HE TRIED TO C-CATCH ME A-AND WE FELL LIKE THIS!"

"A-ah, I see..." she would believe that - if she hadn't just seen that extremely romantic kiss between the two. And the more that Swap spoke, the stranger he sounded. What in the world was going on? "Aaaaanyway.."

Sans finally just flops over to the side, pulling his knees up and hiding his already hidden head in his knees. "S-Sorry, S-S-Serif-" he muttered.

Euphemia - [cartoonimal]-Last Saturday at 9:45 PM

"Wait a sec- Serif?" ... this wasn't Swap. Holy frick, that cleared up a lot. She slapped her forehead rather dramatically. "Oh my god, I thought you were Swap, oh geez, just ignore me I've made a fool of myself.. geez that makes a lot more sense." Embarrassed laughter escapes from her. "I mean, you do look a lot like him, but oh gosh. I'm sorry."

Charm - [aglitchandagrump]-Last Saturday at 9:46 PM

Another, rather loud, whine escapes Sans. Euphie had thought this was Swap?! Oh god! He really hoped she wouldn't tell him. He could hear DT's mocking laughter in the back of head at the entire situation. He muttered a "shut up" at him.

Serif [SecondQuill]-Last Saturday at 9:48 PM

Serif managed to laugh a bit, flipping up into a sitting position. "n-no problem! i'm a-actually his alternate! c-close alternate. w-we even u-use the same nickname m-most of the t-time so I-I had to c-change to serif. um...n-nice to meet you!"

Euphemia - [cartoonimal]-Last Saturday at 9:52 PM

"Oh. Ohhh, that makes a ton more sense. Okay." She grins sheepishly and reaches out to help her up. "Nice to meetcha, Serif. I'm Euphie." She glances sideways at Sans. He would have a lot of questions to answer later. "Ya doin okay there, dude?"

"No. No I am not." he muttered. "Well. Yes. But I would like to wake up now." Dude this isn't dream, sorry. "You're lying. It's a dream. This was the turn from the happy fantasy I was having and I'm ready to wake up."

Serif [SecondQuill]-Last Saturday at 9:57 PM

She gladly took the offered hand and stood up. She tried to calm her blush a bit with a few deep breaths. She looked down at Sans with confusion. Was he talking to himself? "sans?"

Charm - [aglitchandagrump]-Last Saturday at 10:00 PM

He was trying to tune them out, focusing on waking up. The rose thorns hurt, didn't they? You're not dreaming. "Yes I am. Yes I am. I want to wake up now. Screw those damn rose thorns and let me wake up already. I enjoyed this while it lasted but god dammit wake up."

"Sans?" Euphie knelt down next to him, hesitantly reaching out to where she thought his shoulder was. She glanced up at Serif questioningly, then turned back to him. "Hey. What's the matter?"

Okay. He felt that. He shouldn't have been able to. This couldn't be real. Euphie did not just see that. Serif couldn't possibly like him, either! She definitely didn't kiss him twice! Maybe he had woken up and Euphie's voice was asking because he had passed out or something. He peeked out of his jacket to see Euphie and Serif... and DT. Great. Oh y'know, other than embarrassment and insanity, he's all good. DT responded to Euphie's question and got an annoyed glare back at him -- his cheeky smile just making Sans hate him more than he already did. "U-uh.. nothing."

Euphemia - [cartoonimal]-Last Saturday at 10:07 PM

"You sure?" Sans seemed to be looking.. between her and Serif, somehow. Strange; no one else was there.

Charm - [aglitchandagrump]-Last Saturday at 10:08 PM

No. He's not, flower bud. He wants to be, but he isn't. Sans growled at him, managing to quickly cut it off. "Yeah. Just.. uhm.. just confused? I guess? I-I feel normal."

Euphemia - [cartoonimal]-Last Saturday at 10:09 PM

"Okay, if you say so... How about getting up off the floor?" She offers her hand to help him up.

Charm - [aglitchandagrump]-Last Saturday at 10:11 PM

He is probably just gonna fall on Serif again. Maybe it'll get him another kiss~ He's totally gonna do it on purpose. "Would you shut up..." He growled lowly, hoping Euphie couldn't hear as he took her hand and stood up, fumbling as he untangled himself from his jacket.

Serif [SecondQuill]-Last Saturday at 10:14 PM

Serif watched Euphie and Sans chat back and forth. Worriedly fidgeting. Was something wrong with him? Why was he acting weird? Was he just really embarrassed? But why did he seem to be talking to himself? "s-sans? were you-" she paused looking up at Euphie. Maybe she shouldn't mention it at the moment. "uh....weren't y-you gonna get s-some c-coffee?" Great cover. Totally.

Charm - [aglitchandagrump]-Last Saturday at 10:20 PM

"I-I was?" He looked at her a bit, glancing at Euphie and DT as well. DT looked smug as all fuck. Told ya it wasn't a dream~ His face fell from confusion to annoyance at him before he quickly turned towards the bar. "Y-Yeah! I was!" He practically dived over it, jumping over the side of the counter instead of walking around like a normal person. Smooth. Real smooth. "Shut the fuck up it's not like you could have done better." Actually I probably could have. Sans grumbled some more insults at DT as he prepared two cups of coffee.

Serif [SecondQuill]-Last Saturday at 10:23 PM

Serif cracked up when Sans jumped over the bar. "i didn't know you could jump that high!" She sat on a stool, her worry starting to subside.

Euphemia - [cartoonimal]-Last Saturday at 10:24 PM

She can't help but smile. Maybe he was fine, after all. "Well all right then. I was just grabbing a drink and heading back to the room.. Glad I ran into you guys, though."

Charm - [aglitchandagrump]-Last Saturday at 10:25 PM

Sans spun to look at her as the coffee brewed. His smile was wide at her words. "Well, when I'm the shortest one around I gotta learn how to compensate!" Sure. That's the reason. Not hightened agility or anything like that. "She doesn't need to know that, idiot."

He looked over at Euphie, waving goodbye to her. "Alright! See ya later!"

Serif [SecondQuill]-Last Saturday at 10:27 PM

Serif waved to Euphie. "seeya!" She hoped they could meet again, Euphie seemed really nice.

Euphemia - [cartoonimal]-Last Saturday at 10:27 PM

"Yeah, I'll see you around. Hope to see you again too, Serif. You two have fun~" she quickly winks at Sans, a sly smile barely lifting her mouth, and then leaves for the hotel.

Sans blush quickly grew back at that. What did that mean?! Dude you are so obvious even the flower girl can see right through you.

Serif [SecondQuill]-Last Saturday at 10:41 PM

Serif seemed oblivious to Euphie's tone. She'd stood up and picked her book she'd dropped. Checking it for damage before sitting back down. Now that Euphie was gone she thought she might ask. "uh sans. before, were you...um...t-talking to yourself?"

Ooo, she caught ya. "Wh-What? I don't know what you mean." He lied, ignoring DT and turning back to avoid look at her in the eyes.

"um...you were muttering something about wanting to wake up? it sounded like you were talking to someone." She tugged at her glove nervously. She had heard that right? She wasn't hearing things was she?

"O-Oh.." Told ya it wasn't a dream. He grabbed the mugs, handing one to her before staring at his own cup, a blush forming on his skull. "W-W-Well.. Uhm, I-I thought that maybe I had been dreaming. All of this seemed too good to be true. Y-You.. You actually liking me back. K-K-Kissing me t-twice! It was just so amazing I thought that it couldn't possibly be real." He carefully avoided her question about the other person.

Her blush appeared again, not as bad as before luckily. "o-oh. i-i...g-gosh." That was so sweet! He was so adorable! "w-why wouldn't i like you b-back? y-you're handsome a-and charming a-and have a great s-sense of humor a-and you d-don't call me stupid for rambling a-and you actually listen you d-don't just brush me off! a-and you're fun to be around a-and-" Was she starting to ramble again? "erm...b-but uh...i mean...t-this could be a d-dream. m-maybe we should...t-test it?" She looked down at her own mug as her blush worsened.

Sans sheepishly looked up at her from his mug as she spoke, his eye lights shifting to little hearts once again as his own blush worsened. A small, adorable little grin snuck up onto his face as he listened, her heart melting at her words. She was so adorable, and sweet, and cute, and... ah, man. He was in love wasn't he? That's what this feeling was, wasn't it? When she said they should test it he seemed curious. "What do you mean?" I think I know exactly what she means, score dude! Sans didn't even know what DT was talking about.

His smile was so dreamy and just made him even more charming. How could she get so lucky to have a guy like this like her? She started to feel a little sheepish. "i-i mean, t-those k-kisses felt real b-but...b-best three outta f-four?"

Ah man... Laaame. C'mon you both obviously love each other! He was doing a pretty good job of ignoring DT, his full attemtion on Serif as she spoke her idea. His blush worsened as his little hearts got bigger. "U-U-Uh..." A little shy, love struck smile replaced his curious look. "S-Sure.." How was he supposed to say no to that?

Little sparks of magic popped around her. She quickly put her book and coffee to the side where she couldn't knock them and leaned foreward across the bar for a kiss. She couldn't reach him from where she was sitting so hoped that he'd meet her half way.

Little butterflies filled his ribcage when the realization of what he was about to do filled his mind. He had only ever kissed people as jokes, never meaning them. His little love struck grin grew more and he didn't hesitate in leaning towards her to kiss her, as well. He more or less melted into it, his soul responding with some heat radiating from it even without voluntary access to magic. His eye sockets naturally closed and he was entirely consumed by the moment.

Serif felt light as a feather, her soul glowing brightly in her ribcage. It felt so right to be kissing him, so perfect to be near him. The feeling blocking out all other senses. She could have sworn she felt like this before. This all consuming attraction. Why couldn't she remember where? She backed out of the kiss partly as her thoughts disctracted her. Where had she felt like this? She brushed off the thought for now. She just wanted to enjoy this kiss.

Sans didn't even notice when she backed off a bit, his hand reaching for hers. This was an amazing feeling. A feeling he wouldn't mind feeling for the rest of his life. Meanwhile, DT was audibly gagging in the background but Sans was too happy to pay attention to it.

She leaned back into the kiss, her hand brushing his and intertwining with his fingers. She was so happy like this. She came to the realization that she probably had a boyfriend now. That thought was....odd. But in a good way. Hey, she wouldn't be lonely on Valentine’s after all. A little weird that it was an alternate of her best friend, but hey, weirder things have happened! Plus he wasn't an exact copy of her. Gosh, Times was gonna be mad.

Charm - [aglitchandagrump]-Last Sunday at 12:13 AM

He had no idea how long they were gonna stay like this but he wasn't complaining -- he could stay like this for eternity. The idea that this was Swap's alternate didn't bother him, nor the fact that it was basically another him just a bit different. She was amazing and he wanted to be with her. He really hoped she felt the same, and by the looks of it she did. He held her hand comfortingly tighter, not enough to hurt but enough to let her know he was definetly there. He wasn't thinking much when his other hand reached over to grab her chin and pull her ever so slightly more into it, his head tilting a bit.

Serif could have sat there kissing him and not cared who came along until she dusted. She didn't know why she enjoyed it so much but she just did. Her blush grew when Sans pulled her deeper into the kiss. She definitely wasn't gonna argue. Little sparks played on her fingertips, popping around their clasped hands like tiny fireworks.

Sans let out a little content sigh. It was a good thing they technically didn't need to breath. Well, Sans did but he had gotten really good at holding his breath. And he still had access to air and all and, well, frankly he was fine suffocating in a kiss with her. He felt the little sparks, his own forming in sync with hers. It seemed his magic was coming back. DT noticed, looking down at his hand as sparks erupted from his own. Well, I'll be damned.

Serif [SecondQuill]-Last Sunday at 12:51 AM

Serif's magic seemed to swirl in excitement at the response. Without meaning to her illusion magic sparked up giving a slight feeling of weightlessness like that she felt in her soul. She hardly noticed it, too caught up in the kiss.

Charm - [aglitchandagrump]-Last Sunday at 12:55 AM

He felt the switch but also the rush of magic, and his own responded. What both look and felt like a blue flame of magic swirled around them, releasing little sparks. It added heat to the surrounding area, a comforting warmth filling the air. Sans wasn't aware what he was doing. Whoa, okay, this wasn't... oh boy. DT seemed to almost be panicking at this. Because of how in sync their magics were, if Serif paid attention she might be able to hear him.

Serif [SecondQuill]-Last Sunday at 1:11 AM

Serif's magic faultered for a moment when she heard something. Had someone walked in on them kissing? Her blush got worse at the thought and she opened an eye to check. Nope, no one- W-WHAT THE HECK BLUE SWIRLING FIRE- A rush of panic made her magic fizzle out, she was too shocked to pull away from the kiss though.

Charm - [aglitchandagrump]-Last Sunday at 1:18 AM

When her magic fizzled out he felt like he was being dropped, and the panic made him hold her hand tighter as the magic connection broke off. Sans pulled away to make sure she was okay, panting ever So slightly from the sudden use of magic, which he wasn't aware of, and from kissing her so long. As soon as He opened his eyes the fire fizzled out. DT, no longer audible to Serif, let out a sigh of relief. "S-serif?" he still had a bright blue blush and big heart eye lights, staring at her with a mix of worry and awe.

Serif [SecondQuill]-Last Sunday at 1:24 AM

"i-i t-thought i-i heard s-someone t-talking a-and t-there w-was f-fire?! d-did- did we d-do that? i-it felt like m-magic." She looked around them in surprise as if maybe the fire and the voice were hiding somewhere.

Charm - [aglitchandagrump]-Last Sunday at 1:37 AM

"Voice...? Fire? ..Magic?" Sans stared at her, still recovering from the kiss. He looked down at their hands still holding on to each other. He gave her hand a small squeeze before looking back at her. He had a blank unreadable expression until he decided to test something. He thought about the kiss, feeling little sparks fill the air and the same warmth return, a small swirl of fire appearing around their hands. "Whoa.." he didn't think that was possible. DT was freaking out and yelling at him to stop, but his voice was slowly fading as Sans looked back up at Serif with a little smile again.

Serif [SecondQuill]-Last Sunday at 1:45 AM

Serif wasn't sure what to say, had she imagined it? Suddenly she felt magic fill the air again, she looked down at the fire swirling around their hands. Her eyelights turned into little stars and her own magic sparked. He didn't imagine it! "that's amazing!"

"Yeah... Especially since my magic isn't back, yet." Maybe... Maybe it was... It clicked suddenly and he couldn't help but grab her hand with his of he one as well, picking it up and holding it high up as he looked at her. "You make me happy!"

Serif looked a little confused but gave him a sunny smile. "y-you make me happy too!....um..." She cocked her head to the side. "what's that have to do with your magic?"

Charm - [aglitchandagrump]-Last Sunday at 2:00 AM

Oh right, he needed to explain that part. "My magic! It can be fueled by an overflow of one emotion! And you... You gave me so much happiness that it all escaped."

Serif [SecondQuill]-Last Sunday at 6:21 PM

"so..." Her magic sparked up as it clicked. "i-i b-brought back your m-magic?! b-by making you happy?"

Charm - [aglitchandagrump]-Last Sunday at 6:35 PM

He continued to grasp her hand in his, his eye lights sparkling hearts still. "Well, not entirely but yes! I-It's never happened before! I.. I thought I was too far gone for that.."

Serif [SecondQuill]-Last Sunday at 6:55 PM

She wondered if he had a base type for his magic and what that was. Gosh so many questions! She got distracted in her thoughts and lost her balance on the stool that she had been on the edge of to lean over the bar, her bottom half slipped off ungracefully with a yelp. Luckily she didn't pull Sans over on top of her again. Might have tugged him onto the bar a bit though. She couldn't see from this angle.

I have just as much right as you. This continued for some time, Sans not even bothering to be discreet in his yelling.

Oh please, you're only damaging your own mind when you do that. Sans growled once again, throwing a punch at him (in reality it was just the air), and DT easily sidestepped it.

He ended up just yelling into the air. "Would you two shut up!" He spun around to face them, his face scrunching up to let out his full volume. "AND LEAVE ME THE FUCK ALONE!" Surprisingly, that shut them up, and when Sans opened his eyes they were gone as well. He collapsed in on himself a bit, falling backwards to sit down on the ground and just burying his skull in his knees as he tried to recooperate from that.

He didn't seem to hear her, the temperature continuing to drop. Soon his breath was visible and his tears began to freeze on his face. Ice began coating the floor, making it slippery to walk on. The cool air mixed with the hot air, causing clouds to form and rain to start falling down on them as snow. His ragged breathing was progressively slowing as the freezing process slowed as well. He had used up far too much magic in his panic and he more or less fell over on his side, passing out instantly.

Serif backed off more as the storm clouds formed. At least she was use to the cold. She was forcing down panic as soon the cold started to lessen and Sans passed out. She stood there for another moment before daring to approach. Stepping carefully as not to slip she made her way to his side and kneeled to pick him up. Her soul ran warm like a little fire. Without a word she moved away from the ice and sat down in a warmer place. She took a deep breath before shouting at the top of her lungs. "YOU FUCKING IDIOT!" She was pissed. Really?! He gets his magic back and the first thing he does is freeze everything! She sure hoped Charmy would act better than this when she got her magic back! Should have expected this considering that him and Times got along so well. She was gonna have some words with him when he woke up. With a huff she held him a little closer to get warmer.

Looks like he was out cold. His face could show now emotion as it thawed out, his body deathly still. That outburst had taken all of his energy in one short burst -- unfortunately, he wasn't going to be able to sleep easy. After only a few short minutes he was bolting upright awake, breathing heavy as he quickly looked around trying to remember everything that just happened.

Serif pouted holding him tighter as he woke up with a start. "calm down. and you better not freak out like that again, it's not healthy." She took a deep breath to keep herself from yelling. "are you okay now? now more crazy ice storms or yelling at voices?"

His arms were squished against him when she held him tighter, his gaze falling to look up at her. He more or less collapsed in on himself, falling into her arms even more. When she spoke he sunk a bit, looking sheepish. He couldn't find his voice so he just nodded. Maybe if he could keep his mouth shut he wouldn't risk freaking out again.

She sighed and loosened her hold. "i'm not one to speak but, you really need to learn to control that. you could have been seriously hurt, or i could have been." She didn't care much for her own safety but she knew he did. She let her magic swirl around them comfortingly. "i'm glad you're okay..." Her stern expression slipped a bit to show her worry.

He looked down at his hands, the frost still melting off. Had he really done that? That wasn't determination magic, it couldn't have been.. but he hasn't used that type of magic since he was 13. He slumped a bit and he looked back up at her with an apologetic gaze. He was still too scared to speak.

The love mist started to take more effect again and she gave him a quick kiss on the mouth. "that was actually pretty impressive! even though it was out of control. i guess we better work on that."

He was surprised when she kissed him, a blush appearing but he was more confused then anything. He looked at her with disbelief, his head tilted as if asking for answers.

Serif [SecondQuill]-Last Monday at 8:38 PM

She actually didn't know why she kissed him. She just felt like it. Actually now that she paid more attention....It felt like there was a cloud of emotion over her. Blotting out even her anger and frustration. She'd felt this before but where? She stared into space for a moment. It was on the island before but a long time ago, wasn't it? It was- her eyes widened and she seemed to notice the clouds of pink mist for the first time. Her heart felt like it was breaking into a million bits. Did she not really love him? Was it just this mist? Did he not love her? But...He loved her before the mist so...it was just her. So after it wore off she wouldn't care? That didn't seem right. She had to know. "u-uh y-you look really t-tired. um...maybe we should go to the infirmary and you can rest! t-there might even be something to help you there!" She was forcing a smile and trying her best to seem casual.

He was still hopelessly confused, but maybe he was just tired. He didn't know what could help him there but he didn't have the energy to ask, simply nodding.

Serif entered the infirmary carrying @Charm - [aglitchandagrump] and set him on one of the beds. She could feel the temptation to kiss him again but put it to the side to look for an antidote to the mist. Shuffling through a cabinet full of different medications.

He dangled his feet off the edge, staring down at his lap for a second before watching her, curious as to what she was looking for.

After looking for a short moment she found a bottle in the very back and took it out. Looks like it was in pill form. Huh, lucky. The front had a cartoonish broken heart on it. Just great. She glanced over at Sans not knowing if she should tell him. If it turned out that she didn't like him he'd find out anyway. If she didn't like him she could hopefully still be his friend. He'd probably appreciate the honesty. She took a deep breath and forced herself to return and sit by Sans. She couldn't bring herself to look at him, instead looking down at the bottle.

When Serif came to sit by him, he looked at her with silent curiosity, his head tilting a bit in question. He glanced down at the bottle, raising an eye ridge at the design on the label as if to ask what that was.

Serif [SecondQuill]-Last Monday at 9:19 PM

She spared a glance up at him before looking back at the bottle." uh...h-how do i say this...um...t-the mist around here? pink? it um....m-makes you f-fall in l-love with t-the first p-person y-you see. i-i walked through a c-cloud of it b-before you showed up...a-and...i..i d-don't know if...." gosh she felt terrible. "i-i don't k-know h-how much of m-my feelings f-for you are because of it." Her shoulder slumped and she felt like she could cry. "s-so t-this w-will c-clear u-up the e-effects of t-the m-mist i-if i take it."

When Serif explained he could feel a little part of him breaking. He slumped in on himself, his arms wrapping around himself in a sort of hug. Of course this was too good to be true. He should have known. He had made a fool out of her and of himself and look where they were now! He didn't look back up at her, his expression unreadable.

She spared another glance at him, feeling even more broken. With a deep breath she opened the bottle and took one of the pills. In a matter of moments the fog cleared from her mind. Clearing out the intrusive thoughts and feelings and leaving her with just her own. She thought for a moment letting everything settle before turning to look at Sans. "um...could i test something? just....close your eyes for a second."

Sans glanced at her again, turning away for a second before relunctantly nodding. It's not like it could get any worse.... Okay, it could get a lot worse. But he didn't have the energy to try and fight back so he just closed his eyes as requested.

She hesitated for a moment before leaning in and kissing him on the mouth. She pulled back after another moment with a look of surprise. Her surprise shifted to a bright smile and she pulled him into a hug. "I STILL LOVE YOU! IT WASN'T JUST THE MIST!" Oh gosh she was so happy! It wasn't fake! Sure it was magnified by the mist and that probably played part in her accepting that she actually liked him without going through mental tug-o-war, but it wasn't fake!

Sans was surprised when she kissed him, his eyes snapping open. He was about to pull away when she did herself and pulled him into a hug. Okay.. That was a lot to take in all at once. He wasn't sure what to do, so instead he just slowly hugged her back, frankly just needing the comfort more than anything.

Serif nuzzled him affectionately, her magic sparking in little hearts and stars. She got so excited she picked him up in the hug and danced around the room. "I LOVE YOU! I LOVE YOU! I LOVE YOU!" She paused in her dance realizing just how stupid she probably looked. A blue blush covered her face and she quickly return to set him on the bed. Although her smile didn't faulter. "s-sorry, i'm just really h-happy."

Sans automatically clung to her when she danced around as not to fall. He didn't hesitate in letting her go. He stared at her a while, still not entirely sure how to take this all in. He just settled for staring down at one of her hands which he had grabbed and was running his fingers over.

Her magic played at her fingertips little harmless sparks reaching out a bit in hopes of finding his. She suddenly realized that he hadn't said a word since he woke up. "sans? are you okay? you haven't said a thing..." She was fine if he didn't want to talk, it was just odd.

He tensed up a bit, quickly relaxing as he let her hand go and began signing. [I'm scared I'll set myself off again.] He paused. [And my neck may have gotten hurt a bit.]

"your neck is hurt? how badly? can i see?" She hoped it wasn't too bad, she'd hate for him to lose his voice right after his magic returned.

He sunk a bit, his blush worsening. [if you really want to. It's more internal though.] He was actually lying about the entire neck thing. If anything it only got scratched up a bit at the yelling. He just.. Didn't have the energy to speak. And he was still unsure as of how to react to this. How was he supposed to know that this wasn't the mist still? That the antidote worked? He was scared of letting himself be reeled in again just in case.

Internal? That sounded pretty fake to her but hey, what did she know about his weird bone structure? "oh! okay then. it isn't too badly damaged is it? i'd hate to have to go too long without hearing your lovely voice!"

He stared at her again for a long minute, trying to read her and see if she was faking or under any effects. With a steadying breath he voiced- er, signed his fears. [Did the antidote really work?]

She stared at him wondering if she'd read that wrong. "did the antidote work? i already told you it did." She slumped a bit. Did he not believe her? Why? Did he maybe decide he didn't like her? "sans, i promise it worked. and i still love you. um....i-if you d-don't feel the same t-then...that's o-okay..." No it wasn't. She'd let him do whatever he wanted and whatever made him happy but it wasn't okay for her. She didn't give her heart away easily, but when she did she fell hard.

He quickly took her hand again, shaking his head as a way of telling her that he did still like her. His gaze fell to their hands a moment later, remembering the feeling of magic running through him in perfect sync with hers. The feeling of just... Rightness. He loved that feeling and, well, what if it wasn't the same? Maybe all of that was a byproduct of the mist? Maybe he had fallen for her too and not realized it? He raised his other hand to sign simply; [I'm scared you'll change your mind.]

She looked down at the hands. Magic seemed to want to spring to life every time they touched. She felt so happy around him. He even helped her forget how much she hated herself. Maybe she was throwing herself into this too much. Maybe she might change her mind. But she loved this- she love him, too much to not try. "i won't. i said i'd be here for you and i meant it."

He looked back up at her, worry about this situation still evident. He knew this could be deadly for him if she did change her mind. His hope could drop too much too quickly. Maybe he was willing to take that chance? He simple leaned forward, letting his skull rest on her chest as he moved his arms to hug her. "Thank you." he muttered, his voice indeed scratchy and sounding damaged.

She wrapped her arms around him to return the hug. Giving him a kiss on the top of his skull and resting her chin on him. She was getting tired from all this drama and knew he must be exhausted too. She carefully shifted, moving both of them to lay down and scooting over so he had more room. Good thing they were so small. She tugged the covers over them and set her soul to run warm to keep them toasty as she cuddled closer. "let's try to get some sleep, my bright star." She closed her eyes and let herself relax and forget about the craziness. Just enjoying the moment instead.

He kept his arms around her when she moved, his grip loose and gentle. He rested his head on her chest, his eyes still staring ahead. He glanced up to her when she spoke, thoughts whirling around his head. He let his eyes close, one single stray tear falling right where her soul was and he managed a small smile before snuggling closer himself and let himself fade into dreamless sleep.
