This movement of fine art clothing is basically a side mission of mine used to kind of kickstart and subsidize my career as an artist... More than anything I just wanted to create my own clothing, something that looks and feels the way I wanted it to. Something completely me and totally Grunge... It is what it is... I basically paint in these hoodies and for some reason they're really effective on chilly summer days. I then wear mine without any under shirt... Piece 5/5 complete of the "What is GRUNGE?!" collection. Had a freaking great time creating all these pieces, mixing the paints and plasters. FFS, even gessoing the raw boards was quite therapeutic. Piece 4/5 from my debut collection "What is GRUNGE!?". Feel free to Dm me for me info, context, or if you're interested in reading my artist statement for this body of work. This is an acrylic on canvas, 420×594mm. And some parts of the artwork glows in the dark. It was really fun to create, involved a lot of pallete knife strokes of velvety purple, and I was literally throwing fluerescent pink at the canvas at one point. We get so caught up in our personal issues we forget to just sit back and enjoy the finer things about life... Sure we each have our own struggles and circumstances, but finding a Hobbie and discovering things you enjoy, helps make life worth living... That being said, I think I'm mastering fluid acrylics, and maintaining a wet look even when my paint is dry... I feel like my world is chaotic, but I somehow I've found tranquility...
