Nick was tired. Well, when wasn't he tired? He had to stay out at night and come into the office at eight the next morning. Yawning, he set the coffee down and began the process of shedding off his coat and winter gear. Eventually it was done. He sipped his own coffee for a moment before wordlessly stepping over to the desk a few feet from him and setting the second cup down. He wasn't entirely sure how Chris took his coffee- he hadn't picked him up any as an intern. "Two cream two sugar." Nick started to explain, his voice showing just how tired he was. There had been a whole string of armed robberies last night. He eventually caught the people behind all of them, but by then the sun was rising. "It'll help you get through that meeting this morning." To make the day even better, they also had to deal with a long and boring meeting on workplace harassment. Apparently one of the editors had gotten a bit too friendly with one of the interns, and they were trying to avoid a lawsuit. Nick yawned again, "How do you take your coffee, though?" Even with the coffee, he'd be lucky if he stayed awake during the meeting. He'd have to force himself to. He ended up falling asleep while writing an entirely pointless article, and his editor caught him and wasn't happy at all. Nick didn't blame him. He was lucky to even have the job.
