Thoughts: After reading Wonder, I was intrigued by how people around the world took to this story. I came across this video and was immediately taken by how moving it was to see what each individual person thought of kindness. As a teacher, this is absolutely that most important thing I aim to teach my students. To choose kind and to choose acceptance.
Classroom Applications: As a follow up activity to the 365 days of wonder, students can choose which quote they feel is the truest definition of acceptance. Each student can then choose how they want to display their quote, just as in this video. The teacher can then compile all the images into a video titled #chooseacceptance.
