NASCAR is a place where diversity is rare.  Today, someone had the audacity to try to try and break this man by putting a noose in his garage at the track. That being said, he didn’t let it stop him.  It didn’t stop the entire field to stand in solidarity for him and everyone going through this.  Seeing the video of the entire field walking beside and behind his car as they made their way to pit road gave me goosebumps.

Thank you NASCAR family for standing up for what is right.

I know that most people here think that NASCAR is just for fat, white, Southern racists, but you need to hear what's been going on in the last 48 hours. If any of you watch national news, or even sports news like ESPN, then you already know what I'm talking about, but here goes: Sunday afternoon in the garage area of Talledega Superspeedway, a noose was found in the garage stall of Darrell "Bubba" Wallace Jr. He is currently the ONLY African-American with a ride in the top tiers of the sport. It was by one of his crew members, and shown to officials, who decided NOT to sweep this under the rug, but to actively investigate it, and even contacted the FBI to see if it qualified as a federal hate crime. The response from his fellow drivers? They self-organized a show of support that included all 39 of them pushing his car to the front of the grid on pit road, and all of them standing with him - and his car owner - for the invocation and anthem.
