A Quiet Conversation with God . Recently, I find myself waking up in the middle of the night just to talk (and cry) to God. I had done this many times in the past but the recent nightly conversations are somewhat special. . Perhaps it is maturity or the helpless me trying to make sense of irrational emotions that I was experiencing of late. . So, I performed the ‘istihara’ prayers to seek a God-guided outcome in time of making a decision (work, family, marriage, studies, dilemma, just about anything). Basically, I’m asking God in his infinite wisdom and knowledge to make my affairs occur in the best way. . The beauty of the ‘istihara’ prayers is that it is the best way of putting one’s heart at ease, by asking God to handle your affairs with what He knows is best. One truly finds comfort that the King of the Heavens and the Earth has your your back. . Hence, I’ve decided to not think of my first very important matter, and to completely trust God’s plans on that. The interesting part is about the second matter that I had sought guidance for. They say that sometimes there could be signs or dreams (though the lack of them doesn’t mean your prayers didn’t work). Anyway, I was searching for some unrelated item when I came across some posters from my undergrad days when I was in the Political Science Society many moons back. Ok... is this a sign? Suddenly, the HMS folders fell out with those Star Wars posters. God, what are you trying to tell me... #conversationwithgod #istiharaprayers #dilemma #reflection #ingodwetrust #thekingoftheheavens https://www.instagram.com/p/CFwCuY3Be_y/?igshid=ea5h1qkjme8p
