My heart ♥️ is beating so fast!! I wasn’t sure when I was going to share this information but I figured there is no right time so here we go.... Okay I’m finally ready to open up to all of you about what’s been going on..... June 7th after we returned home from vacation my daughter Madison came to my husband and I and told us she was transgender. At first I wasn’t sure what that meant for her, I didn’t completely understand the magnitude of what she was telling us. Once I understood I went into a depression because this is unfamiliar territory to me I know nothing about it I don’t know anyone that is transgender, I was way over my head. It’s been a little over a month and since then she has attended therapy, I have attended therapy, I have reached out for help from the transgender community, we actually met with a son who is a transgender male and his mother which helped a lot. I’ve reached out to PFLAG which is a wonderful support group for parents and families of the LGBT community. I am still processing all of this one day at a time, but no matter what my kids are my life and I will do anything in this world for them. Pretty soon I’ll be the mother of 3 boys and only one girl. I’m upset about that but excited to see my child finally come out of his shell and enjoy everything this life has to offer.
