FTM TOP SURGERY ASSISTANCE

Hey tumblr. So my really good friend got top surgery today. I love him with all of my heart and I want to be able to help him out. So for those who are post top surgery, what can you recommend for after care? What are somethings that doctors won't tell you to do or avoid? How can you help someone who has gotten this surgery. Even if you physically can't be with them during recovery? Please, any and all advice is appreciated 😊

My heart ♥️ is beating so fast!! I wasn’t sure when I was going to share this information but I figured there is no right time so here we go.... Okay I’m finally ready to open up to all of you about what’s been going on..... June 7th after we returned home from vacation my daughter Madison came to my husband and I and told us she was transgender. At first I wasn’t sure what that meant for her, I didn’t completely understand the magnitude of what she was telling us. Once I understood I went into a depression because this is unfamiliar territory to me I know nothing about it I don’t know anyone that is transgender, I was way over my head. It’s been a little over a month and since then she has attended therapy, I have attended therapy, I have reached out for help from the transgender community, we actually met with a son who is a transgender male and his mother which helped a lot. I’ve reached out to PFLAG which is a wonderful support group for parents and families of the LGBT community. I am still processing all of this one day at a time, but no matter what my kids are my life and I will do anything in this world for them. Pretty soon I’ll be the mother of 3 boys and only one girl. I’m upset about that but excited to see my child finally come out of his shell and enjoy everything this life has to offer. Please know that while I share this image with my girl Ashley @vacuumingquinoa, I can only speak for myself. . Last week a shoot I participated in sparked tons of transphobic commentary online, with many people calling me a man. I've gotten this a lot actually! First, let me just say calling someone transgender - insinuating that I'm a transgender woman - IS NOT A MOTHERFUCKING INSULT. My response is: THANK YOU! Have you guys seen Miss Spain @angelaponceofficial in the Miss Universe pageant?! HELLO!! This shit is tired, Booboo. The world is moving on from hateful ignorance and committed to creating safe spaces for LGBTQ, particularly transgender youth who are afflicted by alarming suicide rates due to harassment and bullying like this. Nueva Yorka holds that safe space for our brothers and sisters with pride and power. . Second of all, it's none of anyone's business what my gender is. So I refuse to clarify, answer or dignify that. My mom will surely pop up to set the record straight 🙄Para aclarar 💁🏽She worked her ass off the day I was born, so that's her right. She appreciates clarity. I got that from her 🤓 . I did find the comments interesting for one reason: My whole life I was called a "girly girl," but the truth is I have a lot of masculine energy. In fact, it's probably my more dominant side - one I've always tried to suppress.
