#oc: cicero vasilos#by all technicalities cicero is chiss#and technically ascendancy#but he was raised in a joint genetic program between them and the imperials#so he wasnt traditionally chiss by any means#he has a “house”#but moreso just named by the batch with his other potential clones#house vasici iirc#i dont think the scientists on the project were exactly uh#sentimental enough to name them after cecilia's house#so hes always been disconnected from that aspect of chiss culture#saganu taking the time to bring him into his house though#cicero feels weird about that#like hes being acknowledged as a person and not a tool#it ... concerns him#makes him feel weird#why would saganu bother?#it just immediately makes his skin crawl even if he accepts it wholeheartedly#and he wants it in a way that feels gross#why does he need to belong if he only ever cared much for intelligence?#but ... he wants to belong#somewhere#he thinks#that or hes finally dying he has no idea
