Theories about chapter 2 - Part 3

This photo was taken from the Instagram account of the director of photography for chapter 2. My guess is that the cart with the syringes is for the scene with the nurse controlled by IT trying to kill Mike in the hospital. In the cast of the movie there is a “mean nurse” role, so it makes sense this scene made it from the book. However, in the book Mike was saved by the rest of the losers telepathically sensing his predicament from the sewers and sending him good energy and power to fight. Since we already know from the trailer that in the movie Mike went with them to the sewers, my guess is that the losers will physically arrive to the hospital to retrieve him before descending there, and we’ll probably get an action sequence with them fighting that nurse. It also translates better to the big screen than sending energy.

Theories about chapter 2 - Part 2

Ok, this is very interesting! Why is the summer school included in the movie? In the book it’s only mentioned that Henry and his gang had to attend it due to their failing grades, but no scenes occurred there! Do the adult losers go there? If so, does it mean their stay in Derry was during the summer? In the book it was in the end of May, but it may have changed in the movie for some reason...

Also, someone noticed that the brick pattern in the room where the blood bath scene from the trailer takes place looks identical to the girls’ bathroom in chapter 1, so maybe adult Beverly indeed goes there, but why? And there’s also this photo:

Oh, and by the way, it was announced that some of the cast and crew will attend ScareDiego, which occurs a day before SDCC, so it seems we’ll indeed get new footage then!  Can’t wait!

Theories about chapter 2 - Part 1

So according to this photo, young Gretta will appear in chapter 2, even though we know they’ve also cast an adult Gretta!

Is that one of the things that was changed in the reshoots? In the book, Gretta was killed in an accident when she was 18, so there’s no adult Gretta, but (adult) Eddie sees her ghost as conjured by IT. Did they eventually decide to make this part more loyal to the book, and that’s why she has golden eyes in the photo, as a manifestation of IT?

Well, guess we’ll have to wait 3 more months to find out!
