Do you ever think about
-Viktor Nikiforov, 5 time world champion, falling in love with Yuri at the banquet after the grand prix final?
-How confused he was the next day when he offered Yuri a photo and Yuri just turned on his heel and walked out?
-How he must have felt seeing Yuri skate his routine? Here is the boy he’s in love with who walked out on him, speaking his love language. It’s clear he’s put in hours of effort and dedication and that this is something he loves as much, if not more than Viktor.
-Viktor, overcome with love, travelling to Japan, thinking for sure that this means they’ll get to be together
-Only to have Yuri be really shy and awkward
-And the confusion he must’ve felt?
-How much sense it had to make when he realized that Yuri didn’t remember the banquet
-And how mortified he must’ve been to realize he’d been confused by and pining after this goofball for a year at least while Yuri was completely oblivious
-And finally, how sweet it was for him to realize that he’d won Yuri’s heart anyways? And that all forms of Yuri- drunk, sober, insecure, confident- loved and wanted him in the same way that he loved and wanted all forms of Yuri?
Because I do. I think about these things a lot.
