Fantastic Four 2025 (Minor spoilers)
I want to start out by saying that I’ve never been a big Fantastic 4 fan. I saw this movie because I thought the aesthetic looked neat, Pedro is hot, and I was interested in seeing whether or not they finally made a decent Fantastic Four movie. And I can honestly say it is pretty good. Especially compared to the trash that came before it.
I liked the performances. It was definitely a visual treat. When it was announced that Sue was pregnant I was worried she wasn’t going to be very useful for the rest of the movie and was very happy to be proven wrong.
Overall, it was a really neat movie but the whole time I was kind of wondering, what about the movie wasn’t clicking with me. And I think I figured it out.
There are some characters, some teams that require no introduction. The Fantastic 4 at least to the general moviegoing public are unfortunately not counted amongst them.
They aren’t like Superman or Batman, you can’t just skip the first four years of their development and expect everyone to be emotionally invested in them.
They spend all this time telling us how great they are and how much people love them and how Fantastic they are but they don’t do enough to really show us and I think that’s a mistake.
That being said, this wasn’t a bad movie. It was pretty good. Definitely visually. I love retro futurism/modernism and they really pulled that aspect off. Maybe I could’ve also used some more time spent in that world. The whole thing just sort of felt like it was scratching the surface. It was so long and yet by the time it was over, I couldn’t help but think I needed more.
More emotional depth, more relationship development, more character interaction.
Just more.
7/10 my opinion might change with a rewatch.
Keep in mind that you’ll probably like this movie a lot more if you’re a big Fantastic 4 fan.
With all the serious shit out of the way, here’s some random thoughts I had while watching it:
1. Of course they gave Pedro a baby. He always has a baby.
2.Mr Fantastic's plan:
3: What was going through my mind every time the Silver Surfer was on screen.
4.Galactus looking like those Roboworld bitches in Redline.

You must be a wiki, since I want to search every last part of you.
(I am so sorry if this sucks I tried to be original.)
Lmao that's pretty creative tbh
Oh btw, did my ask go through?
was i a better writer in high school than i am now? because it seems coming up with stuff for my novels was a lot easier back then
My thoughts (complaints) about The Last Jedi
[SPOILERS APLENTY. DON’T READ IF YOU HAVEN”T SEEN THE FILM]
So I saw The Last Jedi last week, and thought it was ‘okay’. Obviously the internet is pretty divided over it. I’m just going to list my major gripes.
Now, my biggest gripe I thought I would have before seeing it was the treatment of Luke Skywalker. I will say that I didn’t like it at all, but I’m going to give Rian about a 50% pass on this. I remember when I first heard that potential plot (Luke has been missing) first spiiled by the Latino Review-and then it turned out to be the preface to The Force Awakens-I said back then: how do they justify this? How do they come up with a reason good enough for Luke to abandon his sister, his friends, and the whole galaxy to just go to shit while he hides out somewhere? A reason that would fit the character. He had to have a reason that he had to be gone (some kind of mission that only he could do) or he wasn’t Luke Skywalker. Luke wouldn’t just abandon the galaxy. He’s the last of the Jedi. He has a job to do.
JJ Abrams probably didn’t think about it too much because we all know how much he loves the Mystery Box. Hell between that and Rey’s parentage, he had plenty of items to play with in there.
So Rian had the hardest section of the story to deal with and to come up with a reason to justify Luke’s disappearance. And I didn’t really like it. I could go on and on and say that if you didn’t give a shit about Luke Skywalker as a character you were kind of missing the point about Star Wars.
The Last Jedi
Holy crud. I go to see a film in theatres for the first time since District Nine and I'm not disappointed at all. Screw all those haters that said it would be terrible or not worth the money. They're morons who're always goin' to be harpin' on about something they think is 'bad' and ruin it for the rest of us. No spoilers but damn that was a good film and Carrie Fisher was a queen in disguise. To anyone who cares, please repost this and if you haven't seen it, take the leap. It's totally worth it.
So i sang a bit because i was fooling around on garageband and felt like sharing it so here you go.
