Way to completely misread what I said. I don't know how people are reacting to the content of the finale itself. I'm avoiding it on purpose because I bought a ticket for it over a month ago and I was really looking forward to enjoying it in a theater. It's not Gooseworx fault that somebody leaked it and that's what I'm referring to people getting mad over. What I don't get is why people couldn't just wait for it to air on YouTube. It's so easy to not watch leaks. I'm doing it right now. I have so much going on in my life that I don't feel like it's some great task to wait for the finale of a show I like. And I mean I get it. I have gotten way to into media before. But I have taken a step back and acknowledged that. It's just that a real person made this and I hate the idea of people killing the fun for that person. I mean at the end of the day I'm just some jerk on the internet so it's whatever. go take a walk in the park or something.

Just saw The Backrooms movie and had a good chuckle when I heard the famous lost (now found) song “Ulterior Motives” (otherwise known as “Everyone Knows That”) playing in the background of one of the scenes.

Altogether this movie was gorgeous. Just a treat to look at. Maybe not for everybody but I happen to love this aesthetic immensely. Liminality has always been comforting to me. Especially this brand of 90s/early2000s liminality. The outfits, the old computers it was just 👌. Seeing it in the shitty AMC I’ve been going to since I was five, with the carpet that hasn’t changed since the 90s definitely enhanced the experience.

Definitely worth a trip to the theater just to see the visuals on the big screen. I’ll probably write another post to talk more about the plot, but I didn’t really want to include spoilers.

Four minutes into a show I know nothing about and they made me cry. That's how I know this show is going to be great.

Not to be a hater but the Starlight Express rewrites make me angrier every day that I’m alive. Andrew Lloyd Webber really said “actually I would like it if everything was less sexy…. And I know what people would like, less dancing. This fucking musical needs less dancing and more talking.”

Like genuinely what is the point anymore Andy??!

If it weren’t for the fact that the Bochum set and costumes were still so nice and the actors weren’t still talented It would be a complete fucking disaster. People worked hard for years to turn this hot mess of a musical into something entertaining and then you took away most of the fun parts. I can’t fucking stand this old man. He ruined my favorite trash.

I tried so hard to watch the Wembley bootleg, and it just made me angry. What a waste of a perfectly good lesbian Greaseball. Who let that freaking child on the stage. It was so boring oh my God.

7. This is gonna be the most self-indulgent thing on this list. I’m very passionate about Rocky Four and I would like him back. I also want their tiny shorts back.

8. ALL OF THE CHOREOGRAPHY, PLEASE!

9. Less talking. One of the best things about STEX is that it doesn’t overstay its welcome or give you too much time to think about what you’re watching. It’s junk food for the soul. Every song runs right into the next one and you’re never bored. I’m not here to be enlightened. I just wanna watch hot people spin. Shut the fuck up and work those hips.

Now it’s time for things I like.

1. Bochum brought back Rusty’s hat and I think that’s neat.

3. Some of Pearl and Rusty’s new interactions are really cute. They kind of reminded me of Orpheus and Eurydice.

4. Love Mama, love Reva Rice.

5. Girlball was a revelation. I listen to her versions of Pumping Iron and Rolling Stock all the time. I love her and her fuck ass mullet. If only she was in a better musical.
