Jasper's annoying as Hell, I agree. But what REALLY bugs me about this series is how "heroic" they're trying to paint Bellamy. Like I get it, he's redeemed himself. But seriously, it's getting ridiculous. I think the greatest example at this point is Sterling's death and Bellamy's subsequent rescue of Mel. He just ALWAYS gets to play the hero now. And don't even get me STARTED on the Bellarke ship.

Okay, my dear, first of all, if you’re here to hate on Bellamy or Bell*rke, you’re on the wrong blog.  I like Bellamy, and I appreciate Bell*rke (for reasons you and I probably don’t want to get started on.)  Putting this under cut...

The example with Sterling’s death… If they’re really trying to paint Bellamy as being ‘heroic’, they wouldn’t have Bellamy argue with Finn (to the point of Sterling’s death) whether or not to save Mel.  They would have made him jump down there and save the girl.  (Jasper and his heroic notions with Octavia in the first few episodes, anyone?)

And what do you mean by Bellamy ALWAYS playing the hero?  If you’re referring to Bellamy being the inside man, he is literally the only one capable at this point.  For very obvious reasons, Clarke has to stay behind.  Octavia is now Indra’s second (and like hell Bellamy would let her go anywhere near Mt. Weather; he doesn’t even know she’s part of the Grounders team.)  Raven is their only mechanic (and she’s crippled.)  Who else???  Kane??  Some random secondary background character??  Everyone has a role in this war: Bellamy is merely playing HIS PART.

On a side note, no one in this show is a hero.  There is no good or bad.  The only reason why we believe the Sky People are the ‘good guys’ is because the story is told in their point of view.  We were built upon that from the beginning.  But if we are to tell the story in the grounders’ point of view, does this mean the Sky People are now the bad guys?  What if it’s the Mountain Men’s point of view?  All sides are doing whatever they can to survive and this, in no way, makes anybody a hero or a villain.
