I'm bad queer rep because it bothers me when a fantasy book goes out of its way to be queer friendly, normalizing queer relationships with every side character and even establishing the main character as queer and then the main romance is m/f
#listen. I am bisexual. the majority of relationships I've been in have technically been m/f*#but like. when I'm reading about or looking at a bisexual character I don't CARE about the m/f aspect. I want it to be gay#anyway I'm reading godkiller and I can't say that I don't recommend it because overall it's decent#but this one thing (and parts of the prose) bothers me a little#not enough to stop reading obviously I am enjoying myself and the characters#hhhh the characters#(if you only care about rep) disable bi main character#(if you actually care about characters) tragic backstory bounty hunter finds herself suddenly responsible for a child she doesn't want#(not. not her child. a child. to be clear. this is a random child that through circumstance is now in her care)#there was a post a week or so ago that was like#I know why we can't get the hardened woman softened by being forced to go on a journey with a kid but can we all just be cool so we can do#it once#a la Logan or the mandalorian or. there's definitely a third example but it escapes me now#anyway this is that. this is that!#it's decent#this has been a post
