it doesn't take them ten years to find peace. just one. the problems fade away. and the pack begins to do things for fun. they learn how to laugh without it hurting. allison learns that family never really leaves you. they graduate from high school - all of them. allison, scott, stiles, lydia, isaac - and when they smile, it reaches their eyes. her parents aren't in the audience, but allison can feel them. her uncle is though. he takes photos. they have one last summer of mayhem and magic. allison doesn't think she's ever been happier. they all go to disney land - just like isaac wanted. and they scream and they laugh. she meets all the disney princesses. eventually they have to go home though. they have to begin packing.

scott goes into the army. allison enrolls in college, just for the experience. she picks criminology. she gets a room mate with red hair that makes her think of lydia - but she isn't nearly as neat. and her hair isn't quite as nice. neither is the girl. she finds allisons weapons one day and starts being a lot nicer. there are lots of boys at college - and even a girl or two. but no one like scott. she passes her classes quite easily. she sets up target practice in the woods near the college. she even begins another archery club. occasionally, she runs into a rogue vampire or murderous alpha. but she takes care of those problems. life has never been so easy. allison graduates. again, her uncle is in the audience. again, she can feel her parents there.

she goes home. to the only home she knows. that little apartment she kept clean for the holidays. she knocks on the door of the stilinski household - asking the sheriff he has any vacancies. she gets the job without any bother or fuss - if there's anyone that can hold their own, it's allison. the aftermath of everything still rings through the town. allison solves those cases - takes care of the problem. but she also solves normal ones. a little girl kidnapped is reunited with her parents. she sends a paedophile to jail. she begins to feel good about her life - if there isn't something missing. she rises quickly through the ranks, becoming second in command. she's tipped to become sheriff when jon retires. allison and he are friends now.

scott comes back shortly before her 24th birthday. well, he's been back before - but this time, it's something more permanent. they call him a hero, hang a medal around his neck. allison always knew he was a hero. the girl who ran with werewolves believes in fate for the first time. she kisses scott after they break into the locker room - it is tradition, after all. they date for a year. six months in, allison notices that he spends a lot of time at her apartment. she figures he should just move in permanently. so he does. on their anniversary, he takes her to the ice skating rink. well, breaks in. he learnt how to skate. he gets down on one knee and tells her that he'll always love her. that he wants to marry her. she accepts.

they marry in the summer. it's a well attended wedding. stiles is best man. lydia is the maid of honor. ric gives her away in place of her father. they recite their own vows to each other, both ending theirs with 'because i love you'. they both laugh at that. everyone dances all night at the wedding. it's held on the reserve - lydia manages it all. every part of it holds meaning to them both. they both agree to go to france for their honeymoon. paris is the city of love, after all. they taste wine - and scott can't get drunk. they eat cheese and kiss each other's stinky breath. they decide that they're going to keep the argent home in france - it's just too beautiful to pass up. maybe they'll ski in the winter.

they make their home in beacon hills. they sell the apartment and buy their first home. they get a mortgage and bills. that doesn't stop them from being happy though. allison is twenty six when she falls pregnant - completely by accident. she tells scott and he spins her around, swearing he's never loved anyone so much. they talk about how they will raise a baby werewolf and teach them to shoot anyway. they will pass on their code. their child might even be an alpha one day. they talk about baby names. scott gives allison a massage and rubs her feet at the end of the day. melissa learns how to knit. allison talks to gravestones. allison gives birth to a healthy baby boy. she asks scott if they can call him chris. allison swears she's never loved anyone so much. he has allisons dimples and scotts eyes. he's a determined toddler.

scott throws allison a surprise twenty eighth birthday party. allison throws up in it. turns out she's pregnant again - and now they have to juggle two babies. scott shrugs, he can deal with it. they're both devoted parents. protective too. ten years on from their own hell, allison and scott find out that chris is going to have a baby sister. allison tells scott he can name this one. they both dream about the future they're going to have together. they know it's going to beautiful.

and in seventy, maybe seventy five years time, they will sit on rocking chairs side by side and know that their lives were good.
