i just played the demo and wanted to say i adore your writing! the longing (not even necessarily the romantic kind) is so palpable. i also really love seeing there will be multiple characters using neopronouns, and that you can input your own! for someone who uses no pronouns, would there be anything conflicting with putting a name in the custom pronoun set, or should that work alright? or is there potentially an option for pronoun-less hunters in the future?
i have actually thought about doing this! it recently came to mind while recoding things in twine since there's a specific part in merry's branch that calls for a capitalized pronoun for the hunter and i had to use some ugly code to make sure it worked for people who input their own pronouns, hahaha.
i THINK.... it would work, setting the pronouns that way. honestly i think that might work better than me trying to code it in myself because i would have to use the name variable, but that's not set until after the pronouns and i don't really know how twine would like that if i tried to use it before then.
and if you set them to singular that should work with the name. i think the few instances where the hunter's pronouns are used it's almost always the [them] pronoun, except in merry's route where she refers to them with [they're] and i think noel does as well at the end of ch1. but if you have it set to singular then it should show up as [Name's] and that should work.
i'll give it a test go tomorrow i think 🤔
