Was going back through the first three eps to rewatch (again) and how did I never notice that adult Cassian has Clem’s gun/blaster!? in Episode 3 when Maarva and Clem are aboard the downed Republic ship and come across Kassa, you can see Clem holding it and gesturing with it.

I am going to be thinking about this every episode now, how Cassian is carrying it with him always. Oh wait, I am already thinking about the significance of Luthen picking it up in Episode 12 since nobody else but Cassian got to use it, much less touch it, up til then and NOW it makes sense why Cassian was freaking out so hard when Skeen was going through his things.

He can’t lose Clem’s blaster. It is probably the only thing that he has left of him. He probably went back to Niamos for that as much as anything else. He gave Melshi the other blaster (Syril’s old confiscated, Imperial issue) to take with him. Of course he would not give him his own gun for that very reason. It’s not just a blaster, it’s sentimental.
