The civilised chatter from the lounge one room over is wrapped up in cheerful, synth-y Mario Party music, which Castis has been making a show of not complaining about.

Garrus squints at his glaring phone screen in the half-light. It's the 10th of August, about a week into the summer break in the race calendar. He forgets if the UK is one hour behind at this time of year or two.
