there’s something about the part of “carry you” that plays when the shot focuses solely on eddie when he’s left standing there with linda

in eddie begins that part of the song plays right as his life flashing before his eyes reaches its climax and he finally gathers the strength to push himself to the surface and come home to his family

and now when we hear that same section of the song playing it’s as eddie watches them rush bobby to an ambulance, after he’s just helped the team save their captain, and linda gives him that knowing smile and says, “God has spoken.” and in its own way, it’s a moment where eddie has once again been given permission to come home to his family, y’know?? :’)
