nate: here's our hitter, eliot spencer. he's the best of the best at combat and weaponry
nate: no one is better than him at disarming large numbers of enemies without going down
nate: he can identify weaponry by sound and organizations by fighting style, hair cut, and shoes
nate: we use him for honeypots
To everybody who makes swap!Bloodymary content and makes Ryland lose his leg rather than his arm like Simon did, you are beautiful and deserve one million treats oh my god feed me more
i can’t stop thinking about Helena Eagan as an avatar for conservative women, and what that means for her position in her world, both as an Eagan and in Lumon. she has the authority to preside over most employees at Lumon (milkshake, cobel), the prestige to be their shining example of how safe & successful the severance procedure is, but when it becomes advantageous (to the company) to relinquish her body back to her innie and force her back to the severed floor, she is still not afforded the autonomy to decline.
she has power, until the men above her decide she doesn’t.
no but what if magic was something disgusting and perverse and uncanny and it’s used in all of these horrific depictions of every kind of violence and manipulation and cruelty and you want to experience it anyway because it’s magic
“where are you?” “right in front of you”
literally buddie canon confirmation
Unrelated but i just finished scott's vsmp bc i saw the movie on my youtube feed (awful timing ik). And i was positively surpriced by scott's characther. I really liked his most important relationship on the whole series that still lives in the end, it's a platonic one with his best friend. Idk but i find that nice.
Also it's kinda funny how his romantic subplot literally died before it could happen. Like scott realized he liked them when they were death which is kinda fun. Bastard vampire has to learn to be less horrible and find better ways to resolve thing or his best friend could be next, it's a fun way to end his story. I wonder if he'd get into fandom fights in the 2010's
scott goldsmith was on the trenches fighting for #vriska-did-nothing-wrong back in the day im telling you /hj
but yeah!! YEAH!!! v!scott's character is so absolutely wonderful, and i got so incredibly mad when the fandom decided that "love redeemed him" because like mfr NO, he is just a survivalist who realized that in modern times being the same type of tyrant that he was over half a century ago would NOT keep him alive
also his bestie and her situationship grabbed him by the neck like a feral cat and brought him into modern society and decided to socialize him correctly. your sapphic friends keeping you accountable through all eternity is one hell of a pacifier
i would argue that the best thing that oculd have happened for that romantic subplot was for him to die, because honestly FUCK whatever the fuck ending we would have gotten if he had survived lmaoooooo
