What im getting from the game Studio MDHR just announced is that cuphead itself is like a meta franchise that started with a 30's cartoon and had different shows and videogames over the decades. Basically this game would be an "adaptation" of "the original cartoon" (the original videogame) in the 90's
So that's why Cuphead looks different in every ad, they adapt the character from the 1930's cartoon in the way different decades would remake him
I think the Cuphead show enters this "meta timeline", being the latest "reboot" of the franchise for Netflix
