good evening! how many amulets, magic and/or evil or otherwise, do you have in your possession? for no particular reason…
it's just the one right now. can't remember how i got it though, perhaps i've had it all along. i don't think i want to get another one because it might make me want to take over the world, and i simply can't handle that level of responsibility. i am cursed, by a witch even, but that's a separate matter.
and i must say, an artifact can be magic and evil. in fact most magical objects are evil because there's mostly only evil energy left in the world and it's all they can absorb.
I have never seen so much stupidity anywhere as I have in a certain part of the HP fandom. I'm not naming anyone, but this is a perfect example:
counterpart
/ ˈkaʊntəˌpɑːt /
noun
a person or thing identical to or closely resembling another
one of two parts that complement or correspond to each other
Source
The word 'counterpart' itself implies reciprocity and a mutual relationship. You can't be someone's counterpart without them also being yours. It's inherently bidirectional.
When Rowling says Voldemort is Bellatrix's male counterpart, she's not describing a one-sided relationship where Bellatrix is obsessed and Voldemort is indifferent. She's describing two people who mirror each other. If Voldemort is her counterpart, then she is his counterpart too. That's what the word means. You can't have a counterpart in a vacuum because the entire concept requires mutuality! If he's her counterpart, then the dynamic between them, by definition, cannot be unilateral or unbalanced in the way this person is claiming. The word itself won't allow it.
IT'S MY BIRTHDAY!
