I'm particularly fine with people comparing my art to other art in general.

I think seeing parallels and identifying common themes is always part of the enjoyment of art. It's often a fun surprise when somebody catches your reference or brings up some cool work you've never seen before in the conversation.

Other times all i can think is "yeah this person has only watched bossbaby during their entire lifetime" lol
