"Stella is only there to make Stolas look better. She's not a character"
WHY do I not hear the same argument about literally ANY other antagonist???
What kinda character is Cash? Mammon? Crimson? Glitz and Glam? Andrealphus? Paimon? The cherubs, agent 1 and 2..Literally anyone...
The only antagonist that suggest running deeper than being "there to make the character look better" is Striker... He's like.. The ONE person who's talked about having a background for why he does things. The rest are just bad people or just simply on the opposite side. Like an antagonist is supposed to be. Stolas is a protagonist, Stella an antagonist. She IS there to be an obstacle to him.. As is Andre. Why does that bother so many?? That's what an antagonist is there for.
I don't even agree that Stella makes Stolas look better... His mistakes are still his own, no one in the show itself blames Stella for the way Stolas acts. She's part of how he ended up this way tho.. But like.. So is Andre and Paimon. HE doesn't even blame her for his own mistakes even if he finally stands up to her.
Cash is a reason Blitz ended up the way he did too. He's a reason as to why some of Blitz' actions are shitty. He planted the seed in Blitz that made him think he wasn't worth shit and that what happened was his fault. Why doesn't Cash only exist to make Blitz "look better" in your eyes? It's hypocritical af.
Not every character exist to have some deep dark story and every character has a purpose.. That's just how storytelling goes.. Nothing wrong with that....
