Good morning, Y’all. I’m not saying Ted Lasso changed my life, but it really changed my life. It will forever be one of those shows that I’ll go back to whenever I just need to remind myself that life is ultimately good if you work on having a positive impact on people’s lives. Be kind. Be curious, not judgmental. It’s that wholesome joy and optimism that is currently lacking in the world.

Actually that sentiment kind of makes me mad now that i’m re-reading the post. “end to end encryption is as good as useless if they can identify who the people involved are” lol except it’s not. they still can’t access the communications. they had enough evidence to arrest them from elsewhere; all they really needed from proton was the information they needed to act on their warrant. (They must not have had any other way of tracking down their physical locations.)

If the contents of the emails contained any incriminating information, that’s not what was provided, and that’s not what was used to arrest them, because even Proton doesn’t know that.
