??? Okay?? I’ll try to answer to the best of my ability, but even I suffered great culture shock when I went to college on the Mainland.

If ceiling sprinklers seem common in Texas, it might be a part of the building and construction codes/fire codes there. I do live in a more recently constructed apartment building, so there are sprinklers installed high on the wall. This is not the case in older buildings and most houses where I live. I wonder if fires are a problem in Texas if even the houses have them.

And then social groups in high school...I think it’s natural that people who do the same activities will hang out together. In some states...like TEXAS...sports are a BIG DEAL. LIKE. A BIG DEAL. SO BIG I CAN’T TRULY COMPREHEND. But I can imagine that the football team members will always hang out together. I’d like to think that people usually have friends in various “friend groups” and cliques are more fluid than they seem. Movies like Mean Girls, High School Musical, and Grease exaggerate (I think, probably, who knows really what goes on in primarily-white high schools 😰). If you saw the movie Booksmart (2019), that’s probably (?) a better example of American high schools than other movies (??????).

The issue of bullying must vary from school to school? I think for most high schools where I live, if you’re looking to be a bully, you’re just asking for scrap/beef/lickins and you’re not going to last very long; people are going to take you off your high-horse, you better know how to fight like Manny Pacquiao or Max Holloway lol. If anything, haole people are sometimes bullied, but like,....................I don’t think it’s a big problem, they’re probably just getting called stupid haole, not getting slammed into lockers and their lunch money stolen as far as I know, and even if they are, they’ll survive fine, society still gives them white privilege.

I don’t know what’s the case on the Mainland??? Who knows what goes on over there, honestly!!!!!!!
