Idea that you always wanted to write but could never make work?

This is a hard one because I like to think that maybe one day I will write all of the things that pop into my head. So in a literal sense, the one that I can never make work would be ones related to this General Hospital OC that I came up with ages ago (gosh, probably 15 years now) whose evolved with GH plots between 1996 and the present (more or less). I’m so attached to her that it hits the point where I come up with random crossover thoughts with other shows (One Life to Live was the easiest and actually became a thing that I wrote, but also a GCB offshoot that I sort of wrote and this TWD crossover that exists only in my brain.) Anyway, even sticking with the GH ‘verse, I don’t think it’s anything I could ever publish because it’s such a companion piece to the show that I’m afraid it won’t hang together like a proper fic. But it is nearly 68,000 words of nonsense.

That craziness aside, the one that I might write one day if I figure out how to put it together is a Marvel/Revengers one set after Ragnarok exploring Loki (and the dynamic with Thor) through Bruce’s eyes. I have some very vivid scenes written out in my brain but I have no idea how to sew them together into something coherent or even into a standalone ficlet. But maybe one day?
