▍ kugisaki nobara 𖬺 itadori yūji(…)feat. @itatora!
“ let’s go to nanako, kugisaki! i promise we won’t be there long, kugisaki! ” is what he said hours ago, but something deep down inside her, something far wiser and familiar, told her that what he was telling her was a bald-faced lie:
because when your guy friend named itadori yūji tells you to come along with him to what can only be described as otaku heaven for a little while, is your first instinct as his girl friend really just to believe him!? more than likely, if you’re any other girl who doesn’t know itadori yūji. less than that, when you’re one such girl named kugisaki nobara and you’re actually friends with itadori yūji.
it’s hours later, blisteringly hot out for a summer day, and the line they’re standing in at nanako broadway’s haruya bookstore has just now entered the mall, inching that much closer to the man of the hour that they’ve come to see: the creator of the human earthworm franchise himself, abe akitomo.
more recently, capitalizing on the success made from the most recent movie and what with the boom in renewed viewership in the first three, abe-san has ventured off into the expansion of his franchise in the forms of two graphic novels, character figurines, a clothing line, and an overarching prequel manga series featuring a whole new cast that ties all of the movies together.
a book signing: he’s brought her along for a book signing and itadori’s enthusiasm is palpable once they step into the store, his grip on his graphic novels white-knuckled — his expression stupidly happy — and it's slightly crowded in the line so it gives a good enough excuse for her to inch closer to him to whisper. “ i hope you know you owe me a large caramel ribbon crunch frappe from starbucks in meguro for this, ”
in any case, when your guy friend named itadori yūji tells you to come along with him to what can only be described as otaku heaven for a little while, your first instinct as kugisaki nobara should be to not believe him: because as it stands, he just may be a bald-faced liar.
