what would completely break your character?
apart from her deepest secret coming out and ruining how everybody sees her? not much. claire is big on public perception and keeping her reputation polished. she’s not in the market for anyone to see her as any less than perfect and for people to know the truth about her? it would devastate her. ultimately she would grow to overcome that adversity but people knowing her truth would break her. also the usuals like death and sickness. and global warming.
what seemingly insignificant memories stuck with your character?
the time she accompanied her mother when she went to a meeting in new york city. she took cricket out of school for three days and they booked a fancy hotel room, decided to get room service, have breakfast in bed. the works. little claire then got to see the behind the scenes at the met museum and hear all about the met ball from someone who worked it. she spent a day tailing her mother as she worked the room and was so inspired. it may not have been the most exciting trip or the one filled with new york’s finest photography sights or an abundance of shopping but it was still her favourite
how does the image your character tries to project differ from the image they actually project?
claire puts a lot into the image she projects. like, right now, it’s more important to her than her studies. if she’s portrayed as anything other than a slightly mysterious but still lovely girl who never has a hair out of place? well..... abort mission omg
