a scene i think about a lot is when zuko tells sokka that they can move to [blanking on name of place but where aang and katara live] in in the darkest shade of blue which is like one of my favorites ever and when zuko is like “i missed you” and sokka goes to talk to katara and she was like “well this was his idea” and sokka is just “oh”

uGH DANI it gets me EVERY TIME it’s such a good fic but that scene GETS ME

💎- What was your favorite part?

There's a lot of stuff in this fic that I love, but my favorite part is them learning new ways to communicate because Sokka doesn't always have the energy to talk. This part specifically I just thought was really cute:

Writing, while still taking some effort, turns out to be better for Sokka than speaking out loud on days like this. He takes to it easily, scribbling down things as he needs them and showing it to Zuko.

⭐- What’s a scene/paragraph you’re proud of? from In the darkest shade of blue

This might be a cop out but I'm proud of the whole thing LOL. But If I had to pick it would be the bath scene. There's something so special and intimate about bathing with the person you love, being completely vulnerable and open with them in a way you can't be with anyone else. For Sokka, he had to let Zuko take care of him because he couldn't do it for himself, and Zuko had to remind him that he was enough, and that he always would be. My fave line from it:

“I’m here because I love you. Every part of you,” he says with finality. “And I know you’d do the same for me.”

The tension in Sokka’s shoulders evaporates, and he lifts Zuko’s hand to press a kiss to the golden ring on his finger. “Yeah, I would.”
