Kai invented the 'accidental baby acquisition' tag 😭😭😭

Oh my god I loved Ash and Kai's little story, I'm literally crying right now!!!! Kai came to check on General Fumero's incompetence in raising children and found a traumatized one who needed a father figure and had to constantly pull his hair out of his face.

Actually, now I'm afraid this is all a trick to get us attached to Ash just so you can kill him off in S&S. I don't trust authors. But please don't kill the poor kid if it's not for us or for Ash do it for Kai the poor guy can't afford to lose any more family.

Actually I also wanted to ask a question! We saw Kai control some smoke in the burning building even though it wasn't his main power, does that mean that Kai has trained so much that he can reach the ramifications of the element of fire? Like he could make lightning if he wanted to or is it something that's limited to Ash because, I don't know, Kai studied a lot about the kid’s element so he could teach him?

Also, unpopular opinion (maybe) but I think if Kai really wanted to he would have won the fight against Nya. Not that she isn't brilliant (for me she's in the top 3 just below Kai and Garmadon), but Kai for a start knew that Nya was Nya so he wasn't actively trying to kill her, and then because Kai wasn't using all his Ki/qui-I can't spell- in the fight. He was using part to protect himself, part to attack and part to protect Lloyd and to hide his presence and Ki/Qui from Nya.

While we're here I have another question, how does the vengeance stone work here? In the series I didn't find it a very good addition because there's nothing to combat it or that provides a disadvantage. I kind of made a headcannon for the series/fics in that although things like handcuffs block the outer Ki/Qui (throwing fire for example), the inner Qi/Ki (resistance to heat, defense against other elements-blood control, mind reading, etc-) continues and actually even increases in quantity because the ki/qi can no longer get out so it all builds up like a time bomb. Does this make sense? I don't know. But I'd find it really interesting if we heard something like this in the future with Kai's cuff, after all he has a lot more Qi now than when he was imprisoned with the vengeance stone for the first time.

Kai keeps finding teenagers and saying "anyone else going to parent that kid with daddy issues?" knowing full well it's gonna be him 😂

Yes, Kai can use elements that have fire origins! That rule applies to any elemental master, in fact. For example, Nya could theoretically control ice, Jay could theoretically control technology, and Cole could theoretically control gravity since it is an ancestor of earth in this AU. But it is very, very tricky to do because 1) it is not natural, so it has to be trained and 2) it takes much more energy and focus to do properly. If you recall, Kai's use of smoke is the only time in ITE that he feels any exhaustion from using his powers. AND the further removed from the original element it goes, the harder it gets.

Ex. Fire -> Lightening -> Technology

In this situation, it would be pretty much impossible for Kai to manipulate technology even though it is an ancestor of fire because it has evolved pretty far from the original element. On the other hand, Jay could totally work on it and get it down.

Kai's manipulation of smoke was so easy for him for multiple reasons! 1) it's extremely similar to the original element, 2) it is a SIMPLE element, and 3) yes, he did train in it in order to teach Ash how to use his powers 🤭 it's the big brother vibes in him. Which brings me to another example.

Ex. Fire -> Lightening -> Mind

In this AU, the element of mind is an ancestor to lightening but it is incredibly unlikely Jay could ever learn how to use it because it is so complicated. Pretty much the opposite of how simplistic smoke is. So even though they're closely connected, it doesn't always mean it'll work out.

TLDR: Yeah, Kai could use raw lightening if he worked on it, but he wouldn't be able to use Jay's more specialized abilities like his electricity transformation, electroreception, or enhanced speed. Same goes for any elemental master.

Kai was holding back in that fight, but so was Nya 🤭 'cause she wanted to kill him with her bare hands :D so tbh it is not a good flight to use to power scale them lololol you're welcome to take it however you wanted to! I will say that both could win depending on the circumstances, although Nya's bloodbending is pretty tough to beat

Oh don't you worry, Kai will bitch about that cuff in his internal monologue so much you'll get tired of hearing about vengestone 😂😂 But I drew diagrams lol 'cause there are lots of different ways to block qi in this AU! Below includes Garmadon's "lets poison my son with how evil my vibes are" on the left and the classic vengestone "absorbs magical energy and gently nom noms it" on the right

Yeah, I totally get what you mean! A timebomb would be interesting fs and scarier for the EM 😭😭 but rather than trapping qi inside the wielder in this AU, it kind of like...empties them of it? And since qi is the same thing that gives them their passive abilities (ie. enhanced strength, fire immunity, high body temp) they also go away with vengestone. They DIDN'T go away with Garmadon's strategy 'cause Lloyd still had all his qi bottled up. Although tbf Lloyd hadn't been training with his qi long enough to get many passive abilities yet rip my boy.
