I regret to inform everyone that I fell off the alt-wagon again 😔
I needed an OC couple for a few art weeks coming up soon, so I thought I'd dredge up the character Cessalie spawned from and her beau (Syssa and Ithael) - and redesign them in the FFXIV benchmark program for funsies, and promptly fell in love with them. 😩
So now they are Cysaille Noirterel (not to be confused with Cysaille Stardewvalley 😅 though they all stem from the same character...) and Itheorel Marinterre.
I need to really solidify their FFXIV backstories still, but here they are. Itheorel is a half-elf (wildwood), on their father's side - they aren't much of a fighter, but possess the echo which gives them visions/premonitions. Cysaille is a rogue, former assassin, and on the run from her old crew.
Both found each other after experiencing their own heartbreaks. Indebted to a lord who had given her sanctuary and sworn to his service, Cysaille fell love with his sheltered daughter - and while they remain very close, they were not fated to be together. Itheorel's childhood sweetheart-turn-lover died in tragic circumstances before they had the happy occasion to wed.
(Cysaille is she/her and bi, and Itheorel is a he/they lesbian)
I don't have a lot of art of Syssa and Ithael (the pencil scribbles from the story I wrote when I was 14 are not good), but I made a lil collage of some more current bits and bobs 🙂
