Since I finished Art Fight, I celebrated by going back to one of my own pieces and finally coloring the damn line art in.
Itisha and Dan being adorable and fancy together for their wedding day.
These two dorks love space so I absolutely was happy to incorporate that into their clothes.
I had a ton of fun coloring this thing and getting that sheer fabric feel going.
Detail shots under the cut!
My contribution to the Dannypocalypse is making an edit of This Art I made last year.
I am laughing so fucking stupidly at this.
This is the stupidest and funniest thing.
I love it.
Had the urge to some art of Dan and Itisha in some very fancy wedding attire.
Both are wearing sheer fabrics with constellations embroidered onto them. Itisha is wearing jewelry that Dan made for her with bits of fallen star.
Itisha's is full of Kaidian constellations while Dan's is full of Earth constellations.
Jazz absolutely helped plan this wedding and got them out onto a beach closest to the Kennedy Space Center. The space theme continued too with everything else.
I am really pleased with the outfits and details. I have no plans to color this but maybe one day I will tackle it.
I finally got around to cookifiying my OC, Itisha!
My friends and I decided to stick with her star theme and so her cookie name is Draco Cookie (Spot the constellation on the armor)
She can be dragony friends with Pitaya Cookie. Fight buddies for enrichment!
And she can go and be lovey at Dan AKA Ghost Pepper Cookie
Reference for her armored appearance I used for this under the cut.
The following was inspired by just the concept of someone finding the feeling of Home in the other.
This is a fun bit of fluff between Dan Phantom and my OC Itisha Astrais.
I made art to accompany this piece and it can be found [ Here ]
Writing below the cut!!
The soul bond was a novel concept to him. The way ghosts formed them was through happenstance. A connection formed as community and familiarity grew. From spending time with other ghosts.
Opening yourself up to embrace that connection.
Dan never had the chance for that. Never as a teen, and hardly after he became what he was now.
A monster had no need for connections.
Yet... he didn't want to admit that part of him craved connection again. To have more than broken obsessions driving him. Rattling his core apart with their reminders.
Then he was pointed in the direction of a fight. Meant to eradicate a monster that would have only grown into a larger and larger problem if he didn't intervene. There he discovered a star, brilliantly feral, clinging to a broken child with her remaining good arm. Still willing to stand between the monster and all else.
To protect.
Dan had no intention to connect with this stranger any more than he did anyone else. He would, only to himself, admit that he held some admiration.
She lost an arm fighting like a bad ass. Something his younger self would have swooned over once.
He helped her succeed in saving a life.
A job well done.
That should have been all.
It had not been. No, instead it was a domino effect. Interest and curiosity and reaching out for understanding and finding it. Reaching out and finding someone who did not fear them, but feared for them.
A connection was made, mutually desired even if neither had spoken of it. It was novel to Dan, and he selfishly clung to that thread that sang of intense emotions. Of sorrow and joy and love.
It was different than the bonds she spoke of. The ones made with intent. Stronger things, backed by promises and the kind of vulnerability that one had to be willing to commit to.
Breaking such things could be disastrous, and she existed as an example of what Shattered bonds felt like.
For all that he destroyed, he wanted to desperately fix this. To soothe that creaking existence. Wanted her to trust him enough to protect it from coming to harm ever again.
Again, something unintentional happened, and he indeed mended that bright warm soul he was inexplicably connected to just as she mended his core.
After that, it seemed so easy to say yes to her when she asked to share her sort of bond with him. Solid and full of intent. A choice to continue to add to the home built out of love and trust between them.
They had a solid foundation, and all that was left was to build it up. Brick by brick. Moment by moment. Memory by memory.
The bonds let him know if she was okay. The hardest thing to do was wait for her when she was abroad. Whenever he felt anything less than ideal, he simply wanted to soothe it and chase away the cause of distress.
This was another one of those times. He was occupying the children, distracting them with games and puzzles. Fostering those growing bonds between himself and them as well.
Then proximity was like the familiar jingle of keys at the front door. All heads rose at once and he wished he could have captured that moment for her.
Except he was too busy scooping up the children in his arms. Giggling and chirping growls as he zoomed off to greet her.
A litany repeating itself in his head, 'She's home! She's home! She's home!'
Perhaps once upon a time he would have been embarrassed by even feeling such an all consuming excitement, but he couldn't find it in himself to be embarrassed now.
Why be embarrassed about one of the best things that he had ever had?
He spotted her first, talking to someone. There was little more warning given than a single phrase he picked up from her. Letting the children loose with a hissed dragon song, 'Say hello'
The friendly command familiar enough to the Star who used it regularly. Her own head perking up and looking over just in time for the stampede of children tackling her in greeting.
That he did have enough time to remember to record. Capturing the surprise, delight, and laughter. Sure the camera didn't capture the feeling of it coursing through their bonds, but he would gladly keep that to himself. A selfish treasure in that moment.
He let the greeting go on, chattering and warm and lively before he reached out for her hand and drew her from the pile. A moment of intangibility just to have her back in his arms.
His other hand cupped her face and he leaned down, nuzzling against her in a greeting that he grew to love. The way she returned it and the way she purred loudly in response to his own rumbling core was an overwhelming delight he would happily drown himself in.
"Hello~" He rumbled softly, pulling her tight against him.
Itisha melted against him, his emotions washing over her and chasing away every ache and worry, "Hello~" She murmured.
He smiled, and pressed a kiss against her cheek, "Welcome home."
Seirei Astrais!
Swimsuit edition!
Honestly that event just gave me a really good excuse to map out the incredibly extensive scarring on her right side she received from the bite on her torso that caused the Dragon's Plague and it spread out from there over the next 300 years.
She would have more scars, but that would take me drawing them all out and a lot of them would be difficult to see on account of just how insanely pale she is.
More Gala art! The first one very much was the concepts and inspiration for the costumes. Respectively that is Seirei Astrais (An AU of Itisha) , Laru Marriam, and an OC of a friend, Samhain
Seirei is a dragon, so she got Draco. Laru is a personal race of mine called the nivanae, they have more avian features so she got Cygnus, and Samhain is a werewolf so he got Canis Major
In the setting, Laru got to work designing all of these. One day I may do full color as she made these things shimmer and shine like the dark night.
Second one I got to doodle Seirei being adorably loving at her wife, Laru. They are in love and Laru will forever haunt her love.
