fear not: you can also “attack” your friends even outside of art fight, so if you miss the chance to before august 2nd you can always get them after with no repercussions. No crime will be committed either way and its actually fine to draw art for others at any other time of the year

Since I finished Art Fight, I celebrated by going back to one of my own pieces and finally coloring the damn line art in. Itisha and Dan being adorable and fancy together for their wedding day. These two dorks love space so I absolutely was happy to incorporate that into their clothes. I had a ton of fun coloring this thing and getting that sheer fabric feel going. Detail shots under the cut!

I SURVIVED ART FIGHT 2026!!! 23 Attacks and 3 Friendly Fires! Making for a total of 26 pieces! Thank you to everyone who attacked me! I have saved every single piece!

I seriously did not expect to get as much done as I had nor did I expect to get warmed up and for my pieces to improve in quality as I went through the month

I genuinely had thought I would struggle getting even one completed and that the quality would deteriorate.

For anyone who knows me, this is a huge deal for me. For those who do not:

Back in 2018 I had suffered an injury to my right rotary cuff at work. A minor tear and with EDS an injury that already takes longer to heal took even longer to mend. Not only that but I had to deal with worker's comp doctors that tried to contradict an MRI that clearly showed the injury so it was not handled properly.

My fine motor control was completely shot and trying to hold a pencil and doing any small motions put me in agonizing levels of pain.

It took me a long while to be able to get back to being able to draw, but a lot of the muscle memory and skill I had built up was all gone. Between that and having technical issues with Wacom and Windows, I just gave up for a while.

Then I started experimenting with markers and just playing around for fun. I couldn't do a lot still without pain cropping up, but I was doing something.

I still mourned the loss of skills and my capacity for what I once could do. There are still bad hand days and issues with consistency that I run into because sometimes the fine motor control just doesn't wanna or the flare ups creep in.

But this year I managed to do a lot and I surprised even myself. I can still see the days where inconsistency hit me, but I am working on being gentle with myself. Doing this for fun helps a lot with not getting in my own way about the quality of my own work and stopping me from even starting.

All art is good art because I got to create it.

I normally get really spooked by bugs, but it was pretty fun drawing up this little guy! I adored the Goth Lit feel of this character and absolutely wanted to just have her admiring the crawly little friend. This is Tamare Marblum for @haanahaki ! (They have so many good characters with fun designs to draw honestly)

Butterflies and MORE butterflies. This was a delightful one to play with lighting and I absolutely fell in love with the concept. This is Ravadeus for Bingo-saurus on Art Fight!

I may have found the Python code for Doom and slapped it into the background for giggles. This is Dr. M.Factor for Robertoadder on Art Fight!

It was fun to play with a more robotic style when it came to the arm. It is not a super familiar type of art for me so I really enjoyed it.

The was SO SO FUN to draw up! I had to look at a lot of refs of drummers for this and adding in the fun colorful lighting and stage fog was just so very very fun for me.

The handy dandy random number generator pointed me at two characters for the same user. First one is StarryeyedTea's (on ArtFight) Ki'lani with @frightzi 's Commander Basilisk having a quiet little cute moment together.

Second one is StarryeyedTea's Caelis Pichi ! I really had fun with both of these. And any excuse to play with glowy lighting is a bonus.

I managed to squeeze in one last attack before Art Fight ended this year! It is a rough one, but I got the idea out! This is Ellian's (on Art Fight) Moon Knight Sona with my character, Phase! I really enjoyed sorting out how fighting works and perspective in with more dynamic poses like this. Especially
