but are the beifongs still around? and aang's family too??
This one got lost in my inbox!
The Beifongs are still a very prevalent family. Opal and Bolin have three kids, and he’s known as a coach for Pro-Bending teams- but if you’re in the know he’s also a very powerful member of the White Lotus.
Opal is a well-respected Air Acolyte but at the moment is raising her kids (she can still kick ass, but she knows how important having a stable family is).
The rest of the Beifongs aren’t really touched on but they are there in doubt doing amazing things.
Now, for Aangs family…
Tenzin had died at this point, Pema is older and stays in Republic City where Jinora and Kai (in the throes of divorce) work with the council/president, and teach about Air Nomad culture.
They are on the rocks because Jinora is so much like Tenzin (thinking she’s in the right and that there is a ‘correct’ way to be an air nomad).
But after Tenzin’s death she closed herself off to Kai and tried to become ‘untethered’. They are working it out.
Ikki is married to an Airbender and lives in one of the Air Temples. She celebrates Air Nomad culture, enjoying festivities and social activities of Air Nomad culture.
She has two kids, a little girl and boy who are both airbenders.
Rohan is a Air Monk, taking a vow of silence for the past fifteen years (he started young ((this is also because he never spoke in LOK lol))) and lives in one of the temples. He looks just like Tenzin and prefers the traditional ways of the Nomads.
Now Meelo…he and Jinora are beefing heavy.
Meelo joined the White Lotus after Jinora refused to give him his Air-bending tattoos because he wasn’t a pacifist (that’s the reason she gives but it’s much deeper than that).
He weaponizes his airbending in a way that’s similar to Zaheer just with decades of practice and restraint.
He is also dating a fire-bender man and Jinora isn’t a fan or that (she feels Meelo doesn’t take the tragic history of their people seriously and him dating a fire-bender sorta solidifies that)
