When he first met you, Polnareff found your shyness to be extremely cute. It even gave him a bit of an ego boost every time he’d come over to you to flirt, and regardless of whether his pick up lines were good or not, you’d end up a blushing, embarrassed mess. Your timid reactions only managed to encourage him to get even closer to you, and before long he was head over heels and flirting constantly, just waiting for the perfect time to ask you out.
Whenever Polnareff sees you smile, he can’t help but smile along with you. Seeing you happy and grinning is really one of his favorite sights, and he’ll start joking around with you all the time just so he can see the way your face lights up whenever you find something he does particularly funny.
While he’s very much the opposite of a shy person himself, he understands how much trouble you can have with opening up and being comfortable around others. Most of the time he’ll do all the talking for you whenever you’re feeling too shy, but whenever you do put yourself out there you’ll be met with nothing but pure support. Whenever he sees you finally conquer something you used to be too shy to do, he’ll just get overwhelmed with pride and lift you into a big hug, telling you how well you did (which doesn’t really help the whole shy thing but at least he’s trying.)
When Polnareff came home a bit early and caught the sound of your singing voice, the man was mesmerized. How could he end up with someone who’s not only perfect, but also has the voice of an angel? Even if you’re not too confident in your voice, he’ll want to be able to hear it as often as possible. Honestly it can get a bit tiresome when he starts continuously asking for you to sing, but seeing how happy he gets when you finally indulge him is always worth it.
Polnareff can be a bit childish at times too, so he won’t really mind when that side of you shows. After a while together you two will have already developed your own stash of inside jokes that you both reference often, regardless of whether you’re alone or not. It gets to a point where even Avdol has to tell you two to calm down with that, since no one else knows why you two are just constantly cracking up over nothing.
Polnareff is very into pda as well, so you can almost always expect him to be touching or showing affection to you in some way whenever you’re out together. He’s definitely the type of boyfriend that whenever he has to leave, even if it’s just for a second to use the restroom, he’ll make sure to kiss you goodbye.
Thankfully, Polnareff is enough of an expressive lover to be able to make up for your own shyness about the subject. He’s the kind of man who isn’t afraid to show the world how much he absolutely adores you, and therefor will do it as often as possible. While you might not say it as often, whenever you do tell him you love him he’ll be sure to absolutely cherish those moments, covering you in a myriad of kisses as thanks.
While Polnareff really does love how caring you are, whenever you start neglecting yourself he’ll be there to try and set you straight. You’re one of the most important people in his life now, you can’t just put yourself off to the side like that! Even when you insist you’re fine, he’ll still try and help you out, finding any excuse to pamper you and show you how much you mean to him.
Whenever you pull a successful prank on someone else, you can bet that Polnareff will be nearby just laughing wildly at the other’s misfortune. While he’s absolutely thrilled to watch you prank anyone else, whenever you decide to prank him he won’t be as happy (especially if the prank happens to mess with his hair as well). While he won’t snap at you, you’ll likely have to deal with a quiet and grumpy Polnareff for the next few hours.
Lazy days with Polnareff are always a good time. As long as you both have nowhere to be, he’ll happily sleep in until noon with you smooshed up tightly against his chest. Even when you’re both fully awake he’ll be reluctant to let you go, preferring if you both just laid out and watched some of your favorite cartoons together for the rest of the day.
Knowing your love of swimming and the sea, whenever it’s a particularly hot and humid day he’ll take you both down to the beach to relax and have fun. Most of the time he’ll just be wading waist deep in the water, not wanting to mess up his hair, but after a few ruthless splash fights between you two he’ll give up and start swimming too. If he’s in a bit more of a playful mood he’ll even occasionally go to lift you up when you least expect it, giving you a quick peck before just dropping you into the deeper water.
