For some reason I absolutely can NOT fathom, I decide to pursue a career as a writer and over 600 people have read it. It's not a finished book, so I'm kinda excited people decide to go on the journey of the character I've created. Then, private messages telling me that they have no idea how people decide to read my story out of the billions on the site.
I'm a little hurt, but at the same time I'm still happy that people read my book. Sure, they might've read one word but they still went in and attempted to do something new with a new book.
All the thought I've put into the character, the surrounding friends, and hobbies for everyone is basically going to absolute shit. Why rain on someone's parade when they don't even have an attempt at a book up and they have been telling someone that it's shit. Look, people. I'm trying. I'm just a book nerd that wants someone to get the same sense of euphoria when they get sucked into books, and I want to feel proud of the reaction I get from others. Also, when I tell others I'm going to go back and edit it so it's somewhat like a publishable manuscript, take my word for it and keep it in that small brain of yours so I don't have to repeat it hundreds of times.
Please. Stop.
