If I can add onto your space thing-

Okay, so you know how light pollution fucks with how much of the stars we can see? I can imagine Gundham did some digging in private, finding the perfect spot and day that he and Kazuichi can go star gazing. He rents a telescope, gets some super comfy blankets for them to use/lay on, hides all of that in the trunk then takes Kazuichi out for a drive w/o telling them where they’re going. I can imagine Kaz jokes about Gundham killing him out in the middle of nowhere because of some horror movies they watch together, but once they arrive at the spot and Gundham explains everything? Kaz is just like- “Okay, you can kill me. Just uh.. gimme ten minutes I wanna get a better look at some of this stuff with a telescope-“

The space thing for those that missed it

YES Gundham finding the perfect spot to do some stargazing!! He looks spots up online, and reads a bunch of forms where people talk about which spots are best, and even drives out to a couple of them to make sure he picks the absolute best spot!

He rents the telescope and gets everything ready and one night he tells Soda they’re going on a picnic. Sodas just like ‘uh it’s 8pm and we already ate dinner?’ but Gundham just insists on going, and Soda just can’t stop thinking about the movie he insisted on watching with Gundham last week where a demon possessed a girl and made her kill her boyfriend in the woods lol (Soda didn’t get any sleep that night cus he spent all night googling ‘how to tell if your boyfriend is possessed’ lol) He agrees to go because the logical part of his brain knows Gundham is most likely not going to kill him in the woods, but he still makes a joke about it just so Gundham knows he’s on to him if he is planning a murder lol

Anyways it’s a kind of long drive so Gundham makes sure Soda takes his motion sickness meds (and that he brings some with him for the drive back, which eases Soda’s mind about the whole murder thing lol) and Gundham spends most the drive distracting Soda by asking him questions about space and getting him to ramble away about how much he loves it haha

Eventually Gundham pulls off onto a dark side road, but Soda’s too busy talking about cold welding or something to notice until he stops and turns off the car. Soda looks around and is no longer certain that Gundham isn’t about to murder him, because they are literally in the middle of nowhere and he can’t see a single light around them and Gundham is telling him to get out of the car.

He gets out of the car and just stares at Gundham, who also gets out, and tries to figure out whats going on. He like reaches for his phone to use as a light but Gundham stops and tells him to look. Sodas like ‘look at what? It’s pitch black and I can barely see you!’ and Gundham just laughs and looks up and says ‘thats the point.’ Soda is super confused but he finally looks up, and Gundham can clearly hear the way his breath catches because on top of being incredibly dark, it’s also incredibly quiet.

Soda is pretty sure he’s never seen so many stars in his life, and certain he’s never seen them so clearly. Gundham gives him a few minutes just to take it in, holding him close as his own eyes flick between the stars and Soda’s face.

He can’t decide which is more beautiful.

Eventually Gundham breaks the silence by kissing the side of Soda’s head and asking if he still thinks Gundham is going to murder him. Soda tells him at this point he’d probably thank him even if he did, since it meant he got to see the stars like this lol. They both laugh a little then Soda finally looks away from the sky and kisses Gundham. He’s like “Really though, thank you, this is amazing. I didn’t realize you could even see stars like this without a telescope!” then looks back up and is like “Damn though, I wish I could see what they look like with a telescope.” And Gundham just smiles and moves to the car’s trunk.

Soda nearly cries when Gundham pulls out the telescope, and he has to stop himself from tackle-hugging him with how happy he is (He knows telescopes are both fragile and expensive lol). Gundham hands Soda the telescope so he can set it up while Gundham gets some blankets and snacks from the car (“I told you we were going for a picnic, did I not?”) Their eyes have adjusted pretty well at this point and the moon is bright enough for them to see what they’re doing.

They spend hours out there. Soda alternates between excitedly pointing out different stars and planets to Gundham while listing off everything he knows about them, and just staring in awed silence. At one point they’re both quietly sitting on the blanket and looking up and Soda just starts crying cus he’s so happy. Gundham just holds him and presses little kisses wherever he can reach until Soda recomposes himself and thanks Gundham again for bringing him out.

They start making out, but they have to stop pretty soon cus Soda keeps getting distracted by the stars lol. Gundham just chuckles against Soda’s neck and lets him look. There’ll be plenty of time for make-outs (and more) at home, and, for now, he really does just want Soda to enjoy the stars.
