Why is it.....
That in fanfiction, most authors have characters use Ned Stark instead of Eddard? Most people of Westeros would not call him Ned, which is an intimate nickname that only a privileged few use. The Mountain Clans call him The Ned out of the great respect and love they have for him. Everyone else would be using Eddard. So it’s weird to hear characters in the stories use Ned instead of the proper Eddard, even Sansa has said his proper name. It kinda bugs me and takes me out of the story a bit.
