It was a nice day. As nice as any of the days could get. Currently, there have been 1027 days since the world lost its color, 321 of those days it had rained, 604 of those days have been cloudy, and the rest of the days have just felt plain miserable. But the Demon, better known as Crowley, had come to realize that human life, and all of its mundane truths, were miserable. Even with the little miracles humans were able to create to endure, without true meaning, life was just a ticking time bomb waiting for the end (that they were supposed to help cause- should they have helped end the world? No. No Crowley couldn't do that to everyone) to happen. But today was a new day. And Crowley was on his third bottle already at only noon.

Summary: The youngest Princes of Spring and Autumn sneak off to embark on a camping trip for their first Winter Solstice together . A little getaway from their families where it's just them, the wild Spring forest, and the unspoken feelings between them.

I was so excited (and a tad nervous) when i found out i got you because you are the tamlinweek mod in my head. But immediately after messaging you, i quickly realized you’re an absolute sweetheart with the loveliest heart ever. Your energy’s just so sweet and getting to know you over the last few weeks was wonderful.

You mentioned something about a younger tamcien during our messages and my brain just latched onto that like crazy. This is best friends to lovers and mutual pining all packed up just for you and I had a blast writing it. I hope you like it and merry (early) Christmas <33.

“There’s gonna be a celebration and you’re not going to be there?” It was Lucien’s turn to sound worried.

In the midst of the tall trees, Tamlin halted his steps and looked back at Lucien, hair a golden stream swaying past his shoulders. Eyes as green as the forest around them locked onto russet ones. The Spring prince shrugged a little, his green cloak reflecting the pink dusk of the sky. “I’d much rather be here with you.”

Lucien’s heart did a thing. Multiple things that he could hardly explain. Heat like no other crawled up his face and neck that even the breeze in the air did little in cooling him down. Tamlin seemed to be completely oblivious as to what his words had done and simply smiled at Lucien before continuing to walk ahead. That smile alone had Lucien’s heart flip flopping in his chest—so intensely he could hear it pounding in his ears.

I’d much rather be here with you.

Tamlin had a habit of doing that. Saying things so heartwarming and not even realizing their effects on people, the endless implications behind them. He’d just drop them mid conversation, an oblivious smile on his handsome face, and then he’d move past it like it was nothing. Like Lucien’s heart wasn’t doing some inexplicable things because of it. He’d done a similar thing when he’d asked Lucien to accompany him on this trip.

“Spending two full days with you sounds like a dream.”

Lucien remembers it like it was yesterday; the words, the way Tamlin had said it, the clueless and yet soft expression on his face. He remembered how quickly his heart had picked up, how its rhythm was an abnormal thump he felt down to his stomach. How his mind stop functioning for a good three seconds. He remembered it all.

He didn’t feel any different in this moment.
