It was becoming almost a TRADITION in a sense. That when the two wanted some time away from things they would d r i f t to the library - both of them losing themselves inside the confines of a book. Curled around each other in a comforting away and their minds lost in fantasy and away from everything happening around them. A time out - one Elijah used to think - he wasn’t sure what Camille used them for but he was thankful for the smallMOMENTS that seemed to just be theres.
This had become one of her favorite things, just sitting here each one of them reading a book. Whether he was truly reading or not she didn’t know. No doubt he read everything three times over. But she could never get over reading. Even now, as she read, the comfort of his presence helped ease her, relax her, as she leaned her head against his shoulder. One simple close of her eyes, just a minute she told herself.
Next thing he would know the weight of her body would become heavy against his arm. Her hair slipped over her cheek slightly, the curls bouncing as her head slipped down slightly only to move back up comfortably against his shoulder. Her heartbeat had slowed greatly, normal for that of a human who had fallen asleep. Her hand was firmly placed in her book, though, saving the page she had been reading in. As if her own body knew it couldn’t stay awake much longer. She needed the sleep, more than she realized.
