being on testosterone is great and i love it and i have no plans to stop anytime soon but it is absolutely obliterating my hairline. this i Cannot deny.
okay since everyone is talking about the controversy surrounding the most recent episodes, I want to throw in my own two cents about how I feel about this.
(spoiler warning for those not caught up with Tetro Blue)
while I myself have never been trafficked and that is a horrible experience that I could not even fathom experiencing, I am apart of an immigrant family. obviously, I do not speak for all immigrants - especially since I am Colombian and not of Tsukigata's ethnicity - but I will admit I am a little uncomfortable over how his story is presented.
what makes me the most uncomfortable would have to be the fact that Ikeda revealed his situation without much repercussion from the others. I do hold out faith that Von will actually have the narrative hold him accountable, but so far, I am certainly not a fan of how they are solely focused on him and barely get anything out of the separate characters.
don't get me wrong, I love analyzing and watching how these characters environments in both past and present affect them and their actions, but this almost seems a bit.. tasteless?
not to mention Ikeda's crude comments toward Tei and borderline racist comments towards Tsukigata. again, those would be fine, if the narrative was actually holding him accountable for it.
back to Tsukigata, I really hope this sudden lore drop will actually be centered around himself and not Ikeda. they are in the same if not similar situation, yes, but it would honestly feel a bit insensitive to only focus on one side of the story - especially one so sensitive of Tsukigata's position, considering his status as an immigrant.
I do not mind at all that he is illegal. I think that's fine, with all honesty. I only worry about it being swept under the rug - or, arguably worse, only be used for the sake of Ikeda's development.
I am not calling Von racist, or anything such as that. I am only expressing my concerns for the current position of the story, and I do trust that Von will be able to develop it well.

just finished re7 and the whole serum thing was like really confusing in some aspects so i just really started thinking about it and
idk if everyone already knows this or if it was in something i missed but whatever
so when you cure mia, she is cured right? not really. in the boat/ship part, she still sees eveline and even hallucinates her still, which is only present in people still infected
it might have taken the control from her but she's still a little infected since the serum is only supposed to do that iirc.
the serum might have worked on her because she wasn't too far gone, and she probably took precautions because she literally worked with all of that kind of stuff as seen in the boat part again
she was probably cured fully at the end of the game when she's was at the helicopter because they definitely had to have known about it, and these are the same guys that appear in the dlc with information on the serum
the serum didnt work on zoe because it wasn't the right serum for her. if you choose to cure her, she just calcifies. obviously you're supposed to cure mia and then play the end of zoe dlc which explains a little more about that
the serum in the base game uses d series parts, which wouldn't work on her because she has an e type/series infection. in the dlc, the serum is specifically made for the e-type
curing her wouldn't have ever worked because the serum wasn't ever made for her, but she did mention one of the serums being hers which kinda makes me wonder if she added something else to it? or maybe its just a line, because the serum that she gave you still calcified jack when you gave it to him, but he came back in the dlc
however thats probably because in the chainsaw fight he splits into two pieces and both of those fights were just different parts of him, so the serum still probably just made him immediately calcify anyway since it's not the right serum for his type of infection
tldr the serum wasnt the right serum because they have an e series infection and it uses d series parts to create it
