Cheerleading practice was done for the day and Teddy was saying goodbye to a few of his friends on his way out of the gym. Not even bothering on change his uniform since he needed to get it clean, he adjusted his backpack as he walked down the hallway towards his locker. He looked around and realized the school was almost empty, just a few guys walking towards the exit. He needed to get his books and stuff before going home. Opening his locker, he took out everything he needed to finish his calculus homework and opened his notebook to see the schedule for the next day. He got a little carried away and just stood there reading his notes.

Stranded | | Peeta & Cato

Opening his eyes for the first time, Peeta's vision started to clear as he was presented with a clear blue sky above him. He laid on his back, still drained of the energy he used to get where he is now. There wasn't much he was able to remember. Only a few images flashed in his mind. All he knew was that there was an explosion which caused the ship he was in to go down. The screaming voices of the passengers that tried to escape the burning ship still rang in his ears. Then another scene where he tried to avoid the crowd of people and had no other choice but to jump overboard came into mind. The worst memory he could think of was fighting for his life as the rough ocean smashed and crushed him against its huge waves.

Feeling and hearing his stomach make a sickly sound, Peeta turned to his side to cough up the enormous amounts of salt water he consumed. As he turned towards that direction, he spots a figure only about a few meters away. Peeta's eyes widened, and he used his remaining energy to rush over to aid the other. Hoping the other was okay, Peeta turned him over to his back and checked if the other was breathing or not.
