“Ah, Earth,” the Doctor grinned, walking out of his TARDIS.  He needed a vacation and Earth was usually one of the best spots.  "I should visit this city more often whatever city it might be,“ he told himself, having set the randomizer and not actually completely knowing where he was and walked out towards the city.  Of course, that’s when he noticed his sonic screwdriver was beeping.  “That’s odd,” he stated.  He wasn’t entirely sure why it was beeping but it was picking up traces of something it didn’t recognize, although it couldn’t identify if it was a life form, a piece of alien technology, or something else entirely.  The Doctor kept walking, watching the sonic closely and not paying attention to where he was going when he accidentally bumped into someone.

“I’m sorry,” he told her, offering a hand to help her off the ground.  “I should have been watching more carefully.”

They’d been home for almost a whole day when Takeru had gotten the text from Hikari to meet up. Takeru assumed she’d wanted to talk about Ichijouji-san, the Crest of Kindness, and maybe what their next steps in the Digital World were going to be. 

At least he was partially right. He gingerly touched the left side of his face, the bruise stinging slightly. They were sitting in the park under one of the larger trees. Iori had apparently explained that Takeru had stomped off to fight the Kaiser alone. 

“I got this when Patamon and I were fighting Ichijouji-san, I told you that.” Patamon peered up at him from where he lay in the grass. “You mean you got that when he whipped your face.” Takeru shot his partner a look.  “Hey it wasn’t that dramatic.”

⌚- Does your muse worry about time?

It’s not a topic Yamato dwells on too often. Whilst it doesn’t bother him too much, ruminating over time lost or passing by too quickly is something he avoids, preferring to distract himself both in music and in past/present day concerns.

✞- Does your muse have any kinds of religion?

Yamato doesn’t really consider himself spiritual or religious in the slightest. I do however headcanon that he and Takeru might have been brought up around Catholicism because of their French ancestry.

∞- Does your muse believes in afterlife?

Nope, but like the time thing, it’s something he doesn’t exactly like to sit and contemplate anyway.

The moon and night sky. He’s always found it especially soothing in winter.

38no no no no no this wasn’t how prophecies went. Hikari was falling in impossibly slow motion, each frame suspended for it’s own silent eternity in front of him. Takeru would never catch her. There was never going to be enough time. But the digital gods were good, and somehow he managed to snatch her limp form from the air. The roar of battle came up behind him in a gust of hot, debris filled air. “Hikari-chan!” He shook her shoulders slightly and her head lolled in time with the motion. A hollowness developed inside him and he felt his chest constricting around it as though desperate to crush the feeling. But her hair and arm were slick with blood and…and….and this wasn’t how it was suppose to go. 

“Hikari-chan,” there was a desperate note in his voice that felt wholly unfamiliar. A shuttering breath escaped from her lips, eyelids fluttering. She looked at him, warm cinnamon eyes glazed over and dimming. She knew. He knew. This wasn’t right. 

Her mouth opened to say something, but it was cut off with a series of raspy coughs. Takeru pulled her closer, and he felt her reach up and lightly grip the back of his head. “I know”, the words whispered into his ear, faint above the din of battle. He pulled back, tried to put on a smile, felt the water gathering behind his eyes. He stroked her hair, leaned down. 

Placed a small, warm kiss upon her lips.Watched her shatter into a million points of pink Light.

Miyako grinned at the shower of compliments that came from Hikari.

- See, Hikari-chan~? You said it so yourself! I’m intelligent and witty enough to know that a little rust like this-

She put all her weight on a leg and stomped on the ladder. The cracking sound it made was anything but safe.

- ...isn’t enough... to break under my... A-Anyway. Could you please pass me the screwdriver, Hikari-chan?

Send a Shade of Orange for a starter!Takeru held Hikari’s hand lightly, allowing her to wander the width of the sidewalk, tugging her back towards their group when people or bikes passed.  She swayed a bit, giggling to herself with flushed cheeks. They were bringing up the rear of the group, Takeru half watching so that they weren’t separated on the way back to Mimi’s place from karaoke. Mimi was slurring something at Yamato who was trying to support an exceptionally drunk Taichi and neither of them appeared flattered.  

He was brought back when Hikari stopped, and he followed her gaze to the under lit trees in the park. They were a blaze of orange, gold and red against the black sky.  “Hikari-chan? Everything ok?”
